"Applause" is the first single by Lady Gaga from the new album "ARTPOP" which will be released at the end of 2013.
The single is something new from Gaga, an electro sound yes, but with fewer choruses than the old hits, it feels almost like a seamless blend between verses and choruses; the rhythm remains lively, exuberant, worthy of a comeback (I believe she was absent for three years, right?). The great thing is that this song has no past, it doesn't remind you of Madonna (as it happened with Born this way), nor does it feature 80s or 90s sounds; rather, it has new sounds, perfectly mixed, making this single sensation.
Gaga's voice is powerful, determined, undoubtedly well-studied.
