My favorite Canterbury album

I'll give them a listen, who knows if they are as good as you think.

If I didn't like it, I wouldn't talk about it like this and I wouldn't take the review to heart. Let's put it this way.

Let’s talk about it. Let’s say that Preisner is mainly known for the soundtracks of Krzysztof Kieslowski's films (to be clear, the one behind "The Decalogue" and the Trilogy of Colors), although he has collaborated with many other directors and has produced studio material. Together they formed a sensational tandem, absolutely comparable, in terms of cohesion and overall vision, to the David Lynch-Angelo Badalamenti duo. His music is highly impactful; rather than celestial, I would describe it as emotional music. It has a charm that lies somewhere between the mystical and the unsettling. It’s worth mentioning that in other European countries he is quite appreciated; it’s a shame that here he remains a niche artist.

But no! You can't summarize Preisner in just four lines! He deserved much more, especially because it's the first time we're talking about him.

"A punk, a mod, or a metalhead, on the other hand, will find it less difficult to understand Joy Division, precisely because they are less accustomed to the sterile, immobilizing, and mortifying chatter of certain media/critique." I stopped reading after this sentence, and do you know why? Because I believe no one really wants to understand Joy Division; it's music for the soul (and I don't mean those new-age tunes). I wouldn't know how to write about records like this because I'm not capable of articulating certain feelings I experience when I listen to them. I often put them in my MP3 player when I feel this need inside me, not because I'm affiliated with certain parties or have specific opinions. The next time you listen to this album (or any other by Joy Division), instead of reading what others write, close your eyes and pay attention to how you feel. You don't have to be a punk, mod, or metalhead to experience emotions. You just have to be a human being.

At 14 years old, he wrote a 5-star book on his debut? Am I the only one who finds something strange about this?

If three clues make a proof (the three clues are the songs on their Myspace), it can be said that they are good. Nice mention.

Quite a charming review. The album is not bad at all and isn't easy to define.

I didn't like the review; after all, you also stated that it deserved more. The film is monumental and has made history for various merits.
