I thank those who participated. @Antoniodeste, I did not intend to belittle Pastorius. If a project like that must exist, I would be the last person in the world willing to do it. I simply wanted to give credit to someone like Vitous, an excellent bassist who often doesn't receive the recognition for what he has done. Many identify Weather Report with the Pastorius era, as if the earlier part were less important. That's wrong; Jaco's contribution was essential, but we didn't arrive at "Black Market" just because they took him instead of Alphonso Johnson. Nonetheless, there was a history behind it that is also the result of Vitous's involvement. @Cocamonga, I'm glad you speak well of "Mr. Gone," an album I appreciate quite a bit and unfortunately is often underrated. @Contemplazione, I'm happy with the analysis that was made, also because there were some details in your dissection that I wasn't aware of. On one point, I don’t agree: grouping Jazz-Rock and Fusion together. Aside from the meanings given in their names, the difference is felt; it is perceptible. Jazz-Rock, which has not necessarily been electronic (it was so in Return to Forever, but there are ample counterexamples), is nonetheless a child of Davis, even though the first hints were certainly earlier, but the decisive step was taken with him (and with all the ensemble that accompanied him in those years, from Zawinul to McLaughlin). One last thing about defining genres: it’s something that is not easy, but I consider it a necessary evil for the purpose of understanding and conducting critical analyses that can go beyond the simple passionate listening of albums.

Welcome to Debaser. A good debut, timely and straightforward. I don't know the album, but the band had been recommended to me.

@Blecht and Hell, check them out! They are really good. "The Painter's Palette" is definitely their best.

I didn't know they had released a new album; I'll get it right away! Those who don't know them should try to find one of their records.

@Bartle, “great” seems like an understatement. Even the new signings seem to be proving their worth as deRecensori. Better this way.

It wasn't missed, but at least the review isn't bad.

I listened. It’s certainly not original, but I wouldn’t throw it away. It passes.
