Brutal Truth Need To Control
Voto:
They certainly deserve a place of great respect, especially considering the shortcomings of the other contenders for the throne. But what would they have done that was so compromising afterward?
Obituary World Demise
Voto:
It's Obituary's grunge album... there's nothing wrong with saying that. Personally, I found it quite enjoyable, even though I would never listen to it again.
Obituary Cause Of Death
Voto:
I have always hated the sounds of this album. Although it contains some of the best things from the band, I definitely prefer the first and the subsequent one (devastating and, not by chance, without Murphy). Compared to Blessed are the sick and Human, however, it comes out looking rather worse for wear.
XTC English Settlement
Voto:
Browsing through the comments on their records, it seems to me – with some regret – that XTC are seriously underrated even around here. I pick one at random and give it my 5, which stands for their entire body of work, without any particular distinctions. Find me another band that has composed at least 30 unforgettable songs and I will reconsider.

The Mars Volta The Bedlam In Goliath

I still haven't been able to listen to it all in one go, so my judgment is worth very little... the general impression, however, is the usual one: flashes of astonishment and wonder, excitement followed by yawns and yet more unexpected pollutions. Fundamentally detestable, they have the great advantage of being young, combined with an unhealthy sense of melody. And it’s not certain that they are more arrogant than some of the glorious bands from the seventies were back in the day. "Wax simulacra" makes me think of some sort of romantic encounter between Orange 9mm and Nazareth; as for the drummer, who is no nobody, I suggest this link
Rocco De Rosa Rotte Distratte

Strangely, I was listening to it again just yesterday afternoon. Very beautiful.
dEUS In A Bar, Under The Sea

Is this the version contained in A band in a box (which I don't have)? It's nice, but it kind of diminishes it a bit, doesn't it?
