Wings Rupert The Bear Soundtrack
Voto:
What an immense musician. I really can't express myself any other way...
Kings Of Convenience Declaration Of Dependence
Voto:
I listened to Mrs. Cold and they don't sound bad at all. They are really good, I appreciate them a lot. On the previous album, there are some real gems.
Franco Battiato Franco Battiato
Voto:
Yes, pannzzone was something like that, I agree with you :-)
Franco Battiato Franco Battiato

I’m ready for all of this but perhaps, and I repeat perhaps, not to listen to it on CD (even though I love experimental Battiato, I still have to hear the reviewed album). If I have to go into a trance playing the same chord on my instrument, with micro-variations in the notes of that chord mostly regarding the accents (that is, things that in other circumstances might take a back seat, e.g. glissandos, small shifts in the rhythms of the downbeat-upbeat, notes that are sometimes more suspended, sometimes more "urgent" but nonetheless always very diluted), I usually prefer to do it in my own intimacy. However, there may be someone capable of deriving pleasure from this listening experience (who can treasure it, let's say capable of finding a soul even in certain peculiarities that typically escape notice). Fortunately, music is not (or at least should not be) anchored to specific clichés.
Giant Sand Is All Over The Map

Wow... for the giant sand I wanted to start with "valley of rain" but I’m happy to note this as well. Great Gelb and brilliant Cimmino. You managed to capture the essence of this music without (or almost) any musical references.
Les Claypool A Sud Del Capanno
Voto:
Long live Les Claypool, long live Primus! However, I'm uncertain about the book. If it retains the same verve as his music, it’s definitely worth a read.
Ravi Shankar and Philip Glass Passages
Voto:
Beautiful proposal. I admit I didn't understand the parallel between Dream Theater and Glass...perhaps it's related to that "profane technicality"?

The cover is fabulous!
DeBaser Recensioni Scritte Da Chi Vuole

"Who remembers the fascio di roma Mauro? The one that set up meetings for millions of users right outside their homes?" I remember it. One of the most entertaining discussions when I hadn't registered yet. Everyone had a good laugh about that story of the meeting/beatdown :D
