This album has been out for about a month and no one is paying attention to it... but who cares, it's yet another masterpiece by the two pseudo Simon & Garfunkel version 2.0 from Bergen, but let's not spread the word around, because, you know, with two feeble guitars like these, a few slaps here and there, a hint of viola just because, a scrap of double bass and two piano keys, you can't really make much noise, can you!?
After all, they decreed it themselves in 2001: QUIET IS THE NEW LOUD, and here we are, with this unexpected third kick-ass album, where the premises for boredom are notable, as there's no drum or tambourine, not even if you trade for it with Remi, and not even a prestigious guest, like, I don't know, a pissed-off Troll, a Munch scream, nothing... especially with this crisis...
Okay, the world is a mess, but just listen to the first track "24-25" to immediately fall into an emotional limbo halfway between nostalgia and consolation, between the desire for freedom and loneliness, and so on through slightly more lively episodes ("Mrs. Cold", "Me In You", beautiful), a sort of bossa ("Freedom And Its Owner") until the last damn track (great effect created on the strings on "Scars On Land") to then realize that we will never have enough of albums like this.
The perfect vocal harmonies of these two wretches are a damn balm for the spirit and mind and their records are the absolute demonstration that, by focusing on their ideas, with the bare minimum necessary, remarkable results can be achieved without ever betraying themselves.
And that's not insignificant. In my opinion.
