Genesis Genesis
Voto:
No mercy for that shrewd yet talentless bald guy called Phil Collins, who just to fatten his coffers keeps the name Genesis (which, of course, without Hackett and Gabriel loses all meaning) and churns out one disgusting, commercial pop album after another.
Not one, but ZERO to any album from the Collins era.
King Crimson Three Of A Perfect Pair
Voto:
Yes, this work by the unbeatable Crimso is definitely surprising, especially in the first part; however, once you start to get used to that cold and sly pop, the industrial atmosphere - if we can call it that - kicks in, and everything changes, giving us countless opportunities to reflect on the music contained within. Of course, personally speaking, I prefer the Crimso of the '70s, but it's incredibly interesting to listen to what Fripp & Co produced in the following decades.

Yes, I remember the Karma. I bought their debut back in the day, and all in all, I liked it; the voice was indeed rich in pathos and warm, the sounds somewhat derivative but convincing. I know they released other albums after the first self-titled one, but I never had the chance to listen to them.
Ozric Tentacles Aborescence & Become The Other
Voto:
I own both, but in distinct editions, as they were released a couple of years apart. Excellent albums, succulent and inspired psychedelia, without a doubt. In my opinion, the "peaks" are respectively Al Salooq for Arborescence and Vibuthi for Become the Other.
Atheist Elements

Yes, yes, I confirm what many commenters above me have enthusiastically written. The production is a bit cold, but fascinating for that reason as well. I can only give this masterpiece a 5/5!
Deus Ex Machina De Republica
Voto:
Yes, this album deserves a lot, and it showcases a lineup with excellent technique and crystal-clear inspiration.
The Gathering Nighttime Birds
Voto:
The last album before the big turning point, the one brought about by "How to measure a planet". An uncertain, transitional album? Not at all... subjectively speaking, it’s less incisive and moody than Mandylion, but it remains an excellent product regardless. 4.5/5
The Gathering How To Measure A Planet?
Voto:
Complex album, a natural progression after the splendid "Mandylion" and "Night time birds". The new creative vein is convincing, and Anneke's voice, as usual, enchants... a remarkable work, truly.

The Pooh, like so many other Italian bands and singers, have chosen to heavily indulge in self-citation and recycling themselves when their creative vein has become something very secondary to fame and money... after all, there will always be people who follow them blindly, even though they haven’t offered anything musically interesting for many, many years.

A record that impressed me a lot back then... and not just for the wonderful voice of Romina Salvadori.
