Beautiful review that I fully agree with; as far as I'm concerned, this is a masterpiece, built on 4 jams each more beautiful than the other, ranging from 9 to 27 minutes in length, with "ramada inn" and "walk like a giant" as the peaks. The other 4 "normal" songs serve as a break between one tour de force and another—an album for the journey in every sense.

Somewhere I read that it’s hard to tell which was the worse disaster, President Bush or Bush the group.

I've never listened to them, nice review.

Mmm I found the first two a bit boring at times, even though some things are undeniably interesting. I will give this one a try.

But have you noticed Josif's first comment? It might mark a turning point in the history of his comments on Deb.

So, first of all, you can't turn your subjective point of view into an objective one by arguing that harsh, distorted, and non-harmonic sounds do not evoke emotions (?) - personally, those are the sounds that move me the most, how do we reconcile that? - and that punk rock and noise rock have not contributed anything to music (?) - take a look at what happened from the second half of the 70s onward, and then we can talk again. Then I listened, before this, to the subsequent white light/white heat - by the way, never listen to it because you might blow your mind - and I assure you that the emotions I experienced from tracks like the title track, lady godiva's operation, and sister ray were really intense, just like those I felt from this album, with tracks like heroin, venus in furs, run run run, all tomorrow's party, i'm waiting for the man: these guys came out in the middle of the flower power movement with music and themes that delved into the most animalistic, natural, and instinctive parts of human beings, throwing tons of distortion at you. Some say that the Doors and the 13th Floor Elevators had a greater influence: perhaps more success, but in terms of influence, we are AT LEAST on equal footing. Ah, Eno said that few have listened to the Velvet Underground, but those few formed a BAND.
