For me, Queen from 1973 to '78 are far superior to Led Zeppelin from the same period, reaching peaks of absolute beauty (The March Of The Black Queen and The Prophet's Song above all, along with Boh Rhap). Then came the trilogy of awfulness (The Game-Hot Space-The Works) to be avoided like the plague, and finally a gradual rebirth with "A Kind Of Magic" (Princes Of The Universe and Friends Will Be Friends are stunning), The Miracle (the title track, I Want It All, Scandal, Was It All Worth It, Breakthru) and especially that absolute masterpiece, Innuendo. As for the new album with Rodgers, I will buy it anyway, keeping my fingers crossed, and I hope to be the first to review it, with the burning desire to at least give it a 3.
