So, let's revisit the career of this stunning singer with an unmistakable timbre and unique charisma: he debuted in Wolfsbane alongside the great guitarist Jase Edwards and released 3 amazing albums (Live Fast, Die Fast - 1989, Down Fall The Good Guys - 1991, Wolfsbane - 1994) that brilliantly tell the life of a street rocker: fresh, carefree, and ironic, unlike the gross Hollywood garbage of glam rock, Motley Crue, and various trash, with influences that are sometimes bluesy and sometimes punk, but always very enjoyable and never vulgar just for the sake of being so (in fact, never vulgar at all). Steve Harris, having lost vocalist Bruce Dickinson, notices him and hires him, resulting in The X Factor - 1995, the best album by Maiden in terms of lyrics: dark and introspective, the themes dealt with are war, violence, religion, and the conflict within oneself. Granitic, intense, dark, and vibrant sonorities. RATING 9.5. With Virtual XI - 1998, he experiments with very varied sounds with extensive use of synthesizers. It is a very particular album that may or may not appeal to some, but to not appreciate songs like The Educated Fool and Como Estais Amigo, one must truly be deaf. RATING 8.5. However, there remains the problem that Blaze has a style very different from Dickinson's, and the old songs are sometimes performed live with results that are not exactly exhilarating (I remember that Ian Gillan had the same problem with Blaze in Black Sabbath) and he was fired by Harris. Instead of giving up, our hero signs a contract with SPV, with which he has so far released three stunning gems (Silicon Messiah - 2000, Tenth Dimension - 2002, Blood & Belief - 2004), proving not only to be a great singer but also a songwriter of great poetry and depth. In case you haven't understood, my nickname is a tribute to this extraordinary and unjustly underrated artist. UP THE BLAZE!

I've never listened to this live, but just the fact that it features Infinite Dreams makes it a must on the 5 scale. Well done, pepozzo, but don't you EVER dare to review Osbourne again; Stick to the Spice Girls instead.

@ Battlegods: Tremor Christ is absolutely unmissable, but also Corduroy, Last Exit, Nothingman, and Satan's Bed.

A stunning live performance by a superlative singer, it's his Live After Death. Everyone who can't appreciate Blaze even in his wonderful solo career are poor souls. It's a shame though that we still don't have that blast of Alive here.

HetfieldGod, the song that made me fall in love with the Sabs is Anno Mundi, certainly not War Pigs or the banal hard rock hit Paranoid. And on top of that, how can you compare the epic quality of Ronnie Dio, the frenzied screams of Ian Gillan, the crystalline tone of Glenn Hughes, or the extreme versatility of Tony Martin with the bleats/croaks/screams/neighs of this lost junkie? Just listen to Born Again, Seventh Star, and Eternal Idol; one of those albums is worth more than all the ones with Ozzy combined and multiplied by 2.

If only she had a nice voice: not even that, hers is so bad that compared to her, Britney Spears sounds like Maria Callas.
