Well, beautiful voice, and obviously an excellent review just for the fact of including our Alessia (or Alexia) in the debaserian hypertext. I have to suspend my judgment on her because it takes me back to the years gone by when... well, too many memories. Suspensively Yours, Il_Paolo

Giuseppina has an intriguing voice, though there's a risk of it becoming tiresome with her nasal insistence and the quirks in her choruses. "Non ti scordar..." etc. already sounds classic and old just six months after its release—thus a minor piece in full right: let’s bet that this summer they’ll play it in piano bars, lowering it by one or two tones, as newlyweds or not, couples married for twenty years, and the elderly, listening, will be transported back to their past while sipping lemonade and swatting mosquitoes? Continue in this direction, but try to capture, alongside the music, the soul of the character, making your review a kind of "epiphany" of the artist. For instance, I would be curious to know who Giuseppina thinks of while singing this piece (her colleague from Esselunga, left to ring up receipts while she strides across the stages of half of Italy, rhythmically tapping a beat that the song hopes is danceable?!?!?).

Every so often I return to the site and delight in the inventiveness and courage of those like our Romeo1985 (I can picture you well with Martina1994, but strictly after her sixteenth birthday!), who present us with music and styles alternative to the prevailing alternative on this site; and they do so with grace, taste, balance, and charm. I can only wish you to keep it up, pleased that you place me in the pantheon alongside Rivoli and Birba, and rejoicing that someone, in my absence, continues a "mission" that, evidently, I was not the only one to pursue. As for Syria, I would say she is an artist who traverses a charming pop, albeit derivative, with a flair that is sometimes feminine and sometimes masculine, fully in tune with the Italian modernity of this late 00s period. Yours sincerely, Il_Paolo

AA.VV. Amici - Scialla

Forgive me, Birba, for arriving just now. Rece, excellent as always, keen in highlighting the music that circulates around us without preconceptions, that is, without the preconceived notions that prevent us from approaching the work of art with the right purity. Just think, recently an artistic prize was awarded to a woman who takes garbage and treats it like gold, turning it into art: without preconceptions. And this is what you do on this site, offering something truly alternative. So, a round of applause. That said, I believe this year's "Amici" has a cast of lower quality than in previous years, and the same applies to the cast that did "Scialla." You also give me the chance to weigh in on the discussion about Marco Carta. I'm withholding judgment on him; it takes years to understand if it’s "minor" music, or music for "lesser" talents, or even "minors." However, there’s a big difference between this kind of artistic judgment and judgment based on the person: hypocritical Linus not wanting him on DJ – just like Pasquale Di Molfetta is responsible for a lot of rubbish spread in the ether since the mid-'80s – and the others, bastards, for overshadowing the perhaps fleeting glory of our man. I say let's give time to time, because in the end, "carta canta" or Carta will sing. Yours truly, Il_Paolo

Great Avenger, certainly one of my most esteemed "heirs" on this site (some jokingly call him Il_Giustiziere, but we are two different people!!!). I would have done it myself if... but it's useless to reason with "ifs" and "buts." So: really beautiful "Su di noi" (with the blue jeans that hurt), of which I want to point out the original music video featuring a nearly pubescent Manuela Blanchard who wasn't yet ready to host Bim Bum Bam. I remember when I saw the video on Superclassifica Show, already a few years old, that indeed talked about "making love," associating it with Manuela Blanchard had a strange "melancholic effect" on me as a young man. "Firenze S. Maria Novella" is also highly appreciable; when I arrive there by train, I never fail to remember Pupo, etc. There is so much to say about him as a man and an artist: his passion for gambling, bigamy, the debts from which Morandi saved him, the hotel he bought near Arezzo to help his family earn a living. If he had been a bit more handsome and had died young (perhaps a victim of the mafia active in the betting world), no one would have denied him a big movie with Daniele Liotti as the lead! But indeed with "ifs" and "buts"... Bravo Avenger, let your motto be and justice for all. Yours rightfully, Il_Paolo

Mamma mia what a mess. My identity always causes problems for everyone, especially for me. So: I am me, there's no doubt about that. The other day I thought to myself, "Why not go back to writing?!?!?" but with a hint of regret because it was precisely Jake Chambers (the first one to comment on my debut!) who invited me to go to the Hyperuranium for "mission accomplished," and so I resolved to write under the pen name of Chic Korea (not to be confused with the jazz musician beloved by the aforementioned Jake). I was soon recognized, and here I am. Chic Korea = Il_Paolo, the only declared identity in here (I’m not, for example, Martina1994). Kyrielison or however it's written, although nice and aligned with my feelings, is not equally me. It's worth mentioning that I won't write anymore as Chic Korea because it's thrown me into confusion: having been born as a spin-off (not so much as a fake) of another serious reviewer, creating a serious fake of myself ends up taking me back to the starting point and I no longer understand myself. In the sense that, rather than as Chic Korea, it’s better to write under my original name and we’re all happy. But what would happen to me, understood as Il_Paolo? Amletically Yours, Il_Paolo
Mago Gabriel Gabriel e le mira-bolanti meraviglie

I fondly remember, since the early '90s, Mago Gabriel, the Piedmontese telenovela, the obviously great Gianni Drudi, and all the characters revolving around "Mai dire tv".
You rightly say you hate me on your page, because your mission seems different from mine, allowing me to emphasize, posthumously, a central aspect. The focal point is the distinction between “trash” and “minore”: trash as an unconscious imitation, or conversely, maliciously aware, of models canonized by tradition, which in one case makes fun of the imitator (like in Gabriel) and at other times makes one reflect (take certain U.S. cinema, Meyer for instance). "Minore" as a form of spontaneous art that is emotionally aware, even when derivative from established models, sincere in its expressiveness, even if not always well-equipped on a technical or communicative level, or in terms of the determination of the user to whom it is usually intended, also due to various institutional mechanisms (militant and academic criticism, market, press and media in general, hypocrisy of the public that defines itself as intellectually emancipated). Our diversity, and the distinction of our respective missions, thus justifies your “hate”. Sincerely Yours, Il_Paolo

I missed it; here in the Hyperuranium I don't always keep up to date. Sorry for the presumption, but what I had was something else; I'm glad someone is carrying on my "mission" here, but the setup is what's failing. You should first empathize with the artist, live them, focus on a particular detail, and build something on that. For example, with Goggi, I would have started precisely from "maledetta primavera": winter ends, the days lengthen and there’s more sun, but like all seasons, it has that ephemeral quality that sometimes leaves us feeling melancholic. The "Brezza" - spring-like, by the way - has been fitting for thirty years. You could have done something like that (there should be a comma between the subject and the predicate).

You've made me really want to start writing again!!!! She has a very sensual voice, if I remember correctly. As a recipe, I recommend Findus fish sticks in a pan. Take the fish sticks, put them in the pan for a while, toss them onto the plate, and eat them. They need to be taken out of the box before being cooked.
