Ridley Scott American Gangster
Voto:
Mmmmmm... seen with much higher expectations, it disappointed me. It feels familiar and Scott is not a director suited for mafia stories. In the hands of an Italian-American, it would have turned out better.

Excellent and beautiful choice. On the Carrey site, he is not very loved, so prepare for criticism from some (Poletti first and foremost, but get your revenge by reminding him that he is a fan of Ligabue). I haven't seen the film, but Carrey as the schizophrenic must be priceless. Zellweger is as appealing as a boiler running in the middle of August.

Dear Muito, I had lost it in the chaos, and I found it again with the surprise reserved for little daily discoveries. Thank you for the thanks; you are always very generous with me! Music and life blend in your description, and the seafront of Bari reflects its lights in a Pan di Zucchero that appeared as if out of nowhere, while in the sultry 1999, a young Apulian talent reveals himself as the embodiment of a Verdeoro talent, emerging from the shell of Barivecchia as you desperately seek lost loves. Well, fulfilling your request, among the tear-jerking pieces, I vote for "Non sei tu" by Adamo as "minor" music, and "Malaga" by Bongusto, while for mainstream music, "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by the Police. Furthermore, I have a connection to "Achilles Last Stand" - Wandering & wandering, What place to rest the search
The mighty arms of Atlas, Hold the heavens from the earth.

Never seen, to be honest. Of course, with enemies like these, even irony was a rather blunt weapon. It's hard to admit, but it's true. The review is good and the proposal is commendable.

Velvet loves to shuffle the cards, perhaps unconsciously captivated by the charm of the beautiful Augusta Taurinorum. Thank you all for your comments, and sorry to LaRock if we get confused every now and then! Alright, enough of the chit-chat, let’s move on to the answers, especially to Muito. From the Encyclopedia of Pa_olitistica, it clearly emerges that "In the beginning was the Word, understood both as Word and as Logos, that is, as reason. This led many for years to believe that the mute, or even simply shy people or those not inclined to speak, were devoid of sense. But the language of gestures, particularly the gestures of the hand, allowed us to overcome this wall cabinet or false belief, whatever you want to call it. The point is that the Word – and the Word itself – can be deceptive, as we have just demonstrated, in the sense that one says one thing but thinks or wants another, or even attributes a dual or triple meaning to the same Word: precisely for this reason, a good silence has never been written. Because by writing about silence – at the expense of Paul Simon or the Aeroplanitaliani – one ends up giving it a Word, which as we know played for Juventus and was never wanted to be transferred."
Renato De Maria Paz!

Renato De Maria is (or was, I don't remember) Isabella Ferrari's partner. An icon of the Vanzini cinema and particularly of "Sapore di Mare." Can you imagine a "Sapore di Mare" turned into comics by Pazienza?!? SV, Il_Paolo
Renato De Maria Paz!
Voto:
It's a pity that to make Pazienza known to the "new" generations we need films, while his works should be the ones speaking for him. I must say that as a comic artist he has never particularly convinced me, while I greatly appreciate his figurative ability. He who is dear to the Gods (but also to the pushers) dies young.
Alfred Hitchcock La congiura degli innocenti
Voto:
One of the most beautiful and forgotten films by Hitch. A satire of provincial America and puritanism (but perhaps also of Catholicism), where everyone must be guilty of something or someone, and have guilt for something, even if it was not done.
Tom Shadyac Ace Ventura

I follow with attention and affection the pochade IlPazzo - Poletti - Muito on the greatness of Lewis (ok) or Carrey (let’s settle for the contemporaries): however, I believe that the true winner is a third party who is culpably not mentioned here, and to whom I link with much nostalgia, affection, and gratitude (for him): with the promise to revisit it one day or another. Sincerely Yours, Il_Paolo
