Mmmmh, during the Ure era, I definitely prefer Vienna. Everything else... Of course, the early Ultravox! was something else.

Wow, you gave it a solid 3!!!! Well, to me, this album is still captivating where, in my opinion, I don't find any "uncertain steps." It goes without saying that everyone has their own opinion.........

Let me clarify a couple of concepts right away. The first concerns the rating I gave to your review, which I find brave and very straightforward. I absolutely do not agree with your theses, but I respect your ideas even though they are diametrically opposed to mine. The second point regards the rating of the album. I believe Heroes – I don’t want to call it a masterpiece even though in my heart it is – is one of the most beautiful recordings of the '70s. You define Bowie a paper hero and in some way a copycat. Well, everyone sees things in their own way. Bowie, after his partial detox from cocaine, for several years - so we’re talking about ‘74-’75-’76 - listened with renewed, and I emphasize "renewed," interest to everything that pertained to the God of Kraut-rock. He never hid his admiration for all those niche bands that made an important mark in the German musical landscape. Autobahn was just one of the many albums that Bowie paid tribute to. But journalists, for reasons I've never fully understood, wanted to stigmatize the fact that the Thin White Duke was in love with the sound of Florian & co. His "fame" was built over the years with many excellently crafted albums. The "Berlin" turn was merely, so to speak, a dive into a musical universe to explore. To my knowledge, but I might have missed something, the champions of Kraut-rock have always had words of esteem for Bowie's Low and Heroes. I’m not just talking about Kraftwerk, long-time friends. So I absolutely do not share your views, but I can understand that Bowie’s rapid changes might confuse many people's tastes. I have always admired him, while recognizing that he hasn’t always hit the mark. I am a great admirer of David, but, for example, I still can't quite digest Young Americans, while I love, contrary to many and a certain obtuse music criticism, Diamond Dogs, which is considered a mishmash!!! Bowie, for better or for worse, up until Scary Monsters I loved and I will love. It was a pleasure. Goodbye.

Exciting. It's a shame that my CD version has a recording that is very.."low". Well done.

...maybe Genesis adapted to the changes of the '80s, while I couldn't do the same.
