My low rating for the show is due to the fact that it was truly bad. Lacking any emotion. For example (now I know I'm going to attract quite a bit of criticism), last year when Matteo sang, in duet, The Power of Love by FGTH, I was pleasantly impressed. Nice version and beautiful choreography. In short, this year lacked imagination and, above all, talent. Instead of Mori, they could have hired Amanda Lear (provocation!!), at least we would have had more fun.

From what I've seen, this edition was a deadly bore. For the well-known reasons. At least until last year, I enjoyed listening to S. Ventura's blunders (Hotel California by the Eagles is a funny song!!! for example). Boredom, boredom, and more boredom, even Morgan wore me down with his rambling (to say the least). Claudia Mori? Unwatchable. Ms. Maionchi? Well, she definitely has class. I would certainly enjoy spending an evening with her, eating and drinking and sharing dirty jokes. She would definitely outdo me!!!

I own this record and I find it quite nice (3.5 is the exact score in my opinion). The professionalism of the band is beyond discussion. However, to include it among the 5 albums to take to a deserted island... well... there are perhaps many other masterpieces.

To be honest, recently Gilmour also stated that Alan Parsons had no impact on the outcome of this record. He described him as "a nice guy" who, like many others, worked for them. The album is splendid (of course), but I am very attached to the early works and to Atom... and Meddle. The suite Echoes is beautiful, for example.
