For Portland: ugh, okay, maybe my previous response was overly caustic and bordering on bias. But let me tell you a few things:
-1) Why do you, like many beings on debaser, vote multiple times? Itās rude and undemocratic. Sorry, Iām using this opportunity to express my ignorable dissent; Iām not targeting you specifically;
-2) I am targeting you specifically for another reason. If you think I haven't read the review, then let me think you haven't read my review, or that you read it hurriedly with some anger since I was tarnishing something that you really like (given the multiple 5s). There are a few details that one cannot know without having read the book, donāt you think? Do you perhaps suppose that I read other reviews and articles to then build a review based on prejudices?
-3) If you reread my review, youāll realize that the comparison with the Mocciosi books (which I, by the way, have read⦠partly out of masochism, partly to study the phenomenon of "mass teenage coprophagia". The same reasons I really read Twilight) is barely mentioned. I talked about those books just to point out that, for the same type of potential target, in general, they were written in a less terrifying way than the aforementioned little book. For the rest, in the actual review of the book, I tried not to excuse it with the mitigating factor of being "young adult literature" (that is, that type of literature for which, by its nature, we are less demanding when judging it) or even the "harmony" genre. Rather, I pointed out its flaws as a more general example of ābad narrativeā;
-4) I havenāt seen the film. But I watch the news: hordes of girls queuing for miles at the cinemas not just for the adaptation of the book itself, but also for a certain Rob Pattinson. Here, tell me, is the comparison with 3msc justified, or not?
-5) What else can I say? If you donāt like my review, you can write one yourself. It's that simple. I promise I wonāt comment on it, or at most, Iāll comment without ratings.
Sayonara!
