mmm I wrote something incomprehensible at the end of the last comment, I wanted to reiterate that they certainly don't deserve all these flattering compliments right off the bat.

...which, as I said, I don't know them well, but approaching them like this, for the first time, I was already able to notice some things that I believe a band shouldn’t have: a "constructed" attitude on stage (watch that video above, damn, the guy behaves as if he were filming a music video), covers so austere and serious that they come off as gay (not gay like George Michael... gay like, uh, Judas Priest or Kiss), a guitar with an echo effect straight from the forgotten trends of the '90s (a banner always held high by the aforementioned Teatro del Sogno, a group also destined for oblivion in 100 years, I’m sure. Meanwhile, who knows, perhaps people will remember those who for many of those who have written on this page probably "don’t make music" like Daft Punk or similar), a search for the pop-MTV chorus, and, in general, a presumptuousness and a lack of self-irony that seem to me good reasons, as far as I’m concerned (me, me and me), to place them in a group worthy of all these praises.

Umpf... well... "de gustibus...", but in that video you can't deny that when the guy plays the first notes, he makes an orgasmic face and thinks he's really (too) cool. I have no desire to start a fight, I just wanted to tone down (albeit with a boorish vehemence) the extravagant praise for a band that, if listened to with the right experience, cannot seem anything more than "cccarina," in my opinion.

Ihihi, you are so ancient, so tied to a concept of music as form and not as emotionality regardless of the technical processes used to create it. Personally, I don't know what made you bring up the Ramones since I didn't mention them: the fact remains that probably in 100 years (if humans still exist) someone will remember them, while Alter Bridge will not. There's little to be done about it. Not that the value of music is measured by historical endurance, of course, no. However, these guys, in their ephemerality (like many other very beautiful bands) are simply boring and banal, in my opinion. Call it Hard-Pop if you want... at least similar bands, like those from the '70s AOR, didn't take themselves as seriously as these do. And Dream Theater are super gay (with all due respect for real gay things that are respectable).

I mean, tell me if this - apart from maybe a few by Dream Theater - isn't one of the most flamboyant live performances (with all due respect to the honest truly flamboyant live performances) you've ever seen?

I didn't know these guys... But after hearing some clips of this polished rock that's kind of Nickelback-but-a-little-bit-harder on YouTube, I can say that a lot of people have crap in their ears. I mean, they're not terrible, but some pretty strong adjectives were thrown around for these softies.

I hate the mouse-like voice of the singer... but the hits from the first album were lovely.

Mmm I'm listening to it and it doesn't say much to me... Listen to "I Should Coco" by Supergrass... oh, I don't know, maybe Feeder.

Beautiful schizo review... however, I don’t go vegan because I really don’t want to know "what a world it would be without Nutella" (which isn’t that I’m a big fan, but the power of Ferrero S.p.A. convinces me it’s better not to take the risk...).
