Well, it's simply metal whose lyrics don't contain blasphemies. After all, who cares: metalheads are certainly not remembered for their literary creativity.

Ah, I got it from Discoteca Laziale near Piazza Vittorio, the record store that smells like a Chinese restaurant with a very ancient cashier. ;)

With this album, those who accused them of being derivative have to be silenced for good. Not because the similarities and references aren't there—on the contrary (I've heard a lot of Wilco in there, for instance)—but because there are so many of them, fused together so beautifully, that what emerges in the end is a lethal blend that only they can create in Italy, and beyond. In Rome, just 24 hours after its release, it was already hard to find it in stores. The story of Verdena is an incredible qualitative ascent, and this is a remarkable peak; now they can die happy, but not just yet: keep it coming!

Pardon *tamarind percussion (not "and the tamarind," I know it means nothing at all). Anyway, this album somewhat resembles Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective and some hypnagogic things (but not too much: this is more danceable and less zonked out).

I mean, this might even be better than Different Class? Uh, that seems difficult, but I'll give it a try.

The fact is that in Italy, when it comes to stepping outside the boundaries of pop music, there’s a sort of inferiority complex towards one's own language; it is used, but always with discretion: maybe you release an album sung in English with one or at most two songs in our language. Why? For what reason do the French, Germans, and Spaniards make emo, screamo, punk, metal, grind albums without worrying about singing in English, while we do? There is no reason, not even economic (and there are quite a few examples to mention). I recommend going to any blog that talks about Italian underground music: out of 10 listed artists, how many don't sing in English? That’s why "sfortuna" is a significant step forward.
