I saw a couple of videos that don't say much (aside from the rather poor sound quality that makes it hard to tell if it's real or due to the recording), but I think it’s important to understand the guy who, in my opinion, has experienced this anonymity more as a challenge to expose himself than as a marketing strategy (which, in the end, has worked out great, to say the least). Well, he was already part of the aforementioned electro duo with whom he has done several DJ sets: but, as we know, a DJ set is a type of live performance that's more "shy," not requiring much stage presence. That said, I’m not itching to see them live: I believe that electro-pop is a genre that rarely delivers its best in live performances.

I like the genre, I like the FBYC, but strangely this album didn't really grab me. I found it monotonous even for its genre, and I managed to listen to it from start to finish with some difficulty (despite its short duration).

Well, true, I said he's a phony. Nevertheless, I find him enjoyable, and honestly, I don’t see much difference between pretending to envy the genuineness of the Pariolini and writing satanic nonsense. Hipsters, in the end, are the posers of "indie" music (whatever that means), a genre that for a long time didn’t have any (unlike metal, hip-hop, punk).
