Hello everyone and thank you for the comments. First of all: that's right, the group is called Steps Ahead. Back to English! :) Conte, it's clear that we don't agree, but you're being too harsh on Brecker. In my opinion, there's a big difference between him and Dave Weckl. The fact is that we're still here discussing Brecker, while no one cares about Weckl anymore.

Well, sticking with Michael Brecker, you could start with "Now you see it... (Now you don't)", which is very nice, leaning more towards fusion sounds... If you're still unfamiliar with jazz, rather than giving you a list of names, I suggest trying out different musicians and styles, and don't worry if something doesn't resonate with you, even if they're "sacred monsters". Jazz is a vast universe; it’s all about finding "your" jazz... I'm not sure if I made myself clear... :)
