LA RECENSIONE

Here it is, were you perhaps worried?? Did you think that this Christmas you would have to do without him?? Oh no, my dear, under the tree again this year there will be the umpteenth masterpiece of the poet of trash, Gigione death music D'Alessio..

..For this occasion, our hero has even multiplied himself fourfold (as if one wasn't enough). Yes, you heard right, 4 CDs for 50 songs from our idol, there's only a heart attack as a worse event. Many, many hours of "music" await you, all his greatest hits, even those he hasn't copied from others, in short, a masterpiece. Strong, heart-wrenching lyrics like in quel che resta del mio amore (music by Renato Zero).. or l'amore che non c'è, brividi d'amore, which, in case it wasn't clear, talk about love, other "masterpieces" like non mollare mai (music by Anonimo Italiano), una volta nella vita (music by Antonacci), primo appuntamento (music by Craig David), and more buongiorno (music by Vasco Rossi), non dirgli mai (music by Pooh), and many other collaborations with artists who, however, really don't know they collaborated with him.

But it's not over here, our Gigione also gifts us his South American pearls, like suena el corazon, mon amour, which have made generations of flashy people dance, and pearl of pearls, his old successes in Neapolitan, from when he was still a barber's boy and would strum away at various weddings around Campania. But then something changed, and the great "record bosses" noticed the potential of our hero, and here he is, traveling the world delighting us with his "masterpieces."

What more can be said? If this Christmas you enter a nice record store with your family and urgently need something to prop up your wobbly table, then this album is for you. But if instead, you intend to gift yourself a moment of good music, move to the next shelf and enjoy your listening.

Summary by Bot

This review humorously critiques Gigi D'Alessio's four-CD album 'Mi Faccio In 4,' highlighting its vast number of songs and heavy reliance on borrowed melodies. While it includes heartfelt love songs and regional Neapolitan hits, the reviewer suggests it's more suited as a novelty or joke gift than serious listening. Ultimately, it leaves the choice to the listener’s taste.
