The Alan Parsons Project Tales Of Mistery And Immagination Of Edgar Allan Poe
Voto:
the review is good, the album is nice, perhaps overall it remains the best of APP even though there are very beautiful episodes on subsequent albums (eve, tfc, even gaudi) (along with others that are definitely mediocre)
Barclay James Harvest The Best Of
Voto:
the review is objectively terrible, the album that I'm listening to right now is anything but engaging. 250,000 people at a concert? I imagine it was free. with all the great bands that have come and gone since the 60s, leaving almost no trace, the BJH are definitely overrated. awful voice, flat music, without any highs. a sadness
Ultravox Lament
Ultravox Lament

great album, I loved it back then. lament above all, but also dancing with tears in my eyes, with that tragicomic video (watched again today) featuring a nuclear explosion about to wipe out the world. chills......
Pino Daniele Vai Mo' Live @ Piazza del Plebescito - Napoli 08.07.08

Yes, it wasn't at Agnano, but it wasn't on May 8th either. Personally, I've had quite enough of the disgust—he's been great, but he should also know when to stop. Then again, it's obvious that he can't sing with the same rage as thirty years ago, but at the very least, he could avoid singing; his voice is unbearable.
John Scofield Flat Out

rating 4.4 recurring, dear doctor. but be careful with punctuation and you've fallen back into the vice of names with dotted initials. interesting product, maybe I'll delve deeper. guitaristic regards

Bruce Springsteen Live @ Milano - Stadio Meazza 25/06/08

great review, maximum respect for the boss, but personally I prefer almost all the ones you mention (Mellencamp, Van the Man who has 50 years of career behind him and every year releases a more than respectable album, James Taylor, Paul Simon whose qualitative peaks Bruce can only dream of, not to mention the historical importance of Dylan, whom I can't stand but respect, counts as much as the Beatles do compared to Supertramp, whom I also prefer). A thought for poor Danny Federici might have been nice. And then I assure you that not everyone living in San Siro is a rich person in cahoots with our mayor of sh*t... right in front of the stadium there's a nice display of shabby low-cost houses. I agree that these residents could go f*** themselves for ten nights a year, but wealth doesn't have much to do with it. Personally, I only really like (a lot) Tom Joad from the last 15 years of the boss, but a concert by the E-Street Band is always a great event. Honor to the boss.
Ultravox Systems of Romance
Voto:
I don't know them. And it's strange, given how much I loved the subsequent Ultravox of Midge Ure. Vienna is a wonderful album, but I also liked the next two a lot at the time. However, I never wanted to experiment with the Foxx era. But maybe it's never too late.
Human League Dare!
Voto:
beyond the vile homophobic statement (which isn't even that well-founded), nice little disc. even though I've always found them a bit light. however, the subsequent Human made me shed a tear or two.
