but does andrea benassi exist? the review seemed quite similar to that of peppe di spirito that I had already read, the signature left me stunned. anyway, fabio zuff's work is more than commendable.

And anyway today, in the end, I bought it. What can I say? If instead of the shaky voices of Franco and Franz there were a real singer, we would be facing an absolute masterpiece. Guys, these two really never age. It feels like an "stati d'immaginazione" with vocals and lyrics, and what lyrics! I completely share your opinion. Forget about breaking the m., I mean it might be a clever move, but bring it on if it gives us musical gems of this caliber.

I'm in agreement on the area. As for the band, I think the PFM is worth it both compositionally and technically (plus they have a great singer), although personally I'm more attached, I repeat, to Mussida and company. Le Orme are a step lower in my opinion, also below the best of New Trolls. As for the "one-hit wonders," I'm not convinced by your thesis: market situations, personal events, and much more influence the music world, where even back then for one who made it, there were a hundred (at least ten at the same level) who ended up working in a bank. Nevertheless, I'm happy to discuss these topics regardless of some slight differences in judgment. Cheers.

masterpiece, I rewatched it a month ago and it doesn't stop disturbing and striking. Beautiful, especially the book.

starless It's the perfect suite, I almost agree with everything (except for brufford:). A masterpiece, I'm undecided but in the end I consider it the best king crimson.

@antoniomimmo - I don’t presume to judge your opinions, nor did I say that PFM is inferior to New Trolls: they are practically my favorite Italian band, by the way. I just say that New Trolls, who hardly ventured beyond national borders, while being a more Italian phenomenon in many respects, are comparable to Forneria. As for the praises of "God" Zappa, Pastorius, Led Zeppelin, Santana, E.L.& P., and so on (I'd also add King Crimson and Peter Hammill, for good measure), they are sacred and legitimate. But it’s a bit like a cat chasing its tail: PFM (I don't quite know why) was an export phenomenon in those years, therefore it was also known by the greats across the channel and overseas, while New Trolls (but also Banco and Area) much less, but that’s not their fault. It would be like saying that Michael Jackson is the greatest of all time because he sold so many billions of records; it seems a bit reductive to me. Moreover, using the metric of global knowledge for prog seems quite wrong: do you really believe that bands like Biglietto per l'Inferno, Maxophone, or Museo Rosenbach were that much worse than Mussida and his companions? I don't.

I would be cautious about dismissing everything by New Trolls except for Concerto Grosso. In my opinion, other albums (first and foremost UT) are absolutely worth listening to. And as musicians, they are of an excellent level. If we want to reject everything they’ve done since 1978, we can do that, but it’s not like “suonare suonare” or “come ti va in riva alla città” were masterpieces. That said, I get emotional for both that evening caress and for maestro della voce, but that’s just my personal view. And recently, they came out with Concerto Grosso 3, which is quite good.

a kiss? and two kisses?
I'm also in the "they messed up with Faber" group, but reading your review made me want to buy it, even though I've been avoiding it every time I saw it. The voices of Mussida and Franz are ridiculous, it's a real shame; with a Lanzetti or someone similar, they could have been even greater.
As for hanging up the instruments, that seems like a solemn piece of nonsense to me; these guys live (and in the studio) do wonders. And I also think "Stati d'immaginazione" is their best album since around 1980 (maybe also because it's instrumental).
Tagliavini is a superstar; I believe that in terms of keyboards, he's even better than Flavio Premoli.

thunderbolts and arrows at those who dare to criticize the divine Woody. this film is a resounding success of a comedy, the direction of our man is every year more mature and technically flawless, Scarlett is simply stunning. and double thunderbolts-arrows at anyone who dares to call Match Point anything less than a masterpiece. Woody is simply a genius. IMHO
