Portishead Third

As soon as I played "Silence" on the multimedia player, I got scared... well, renewal is necessary... but at first glance, I thought of certain youthful and technocratic sounds of Bowie from the mid-90s, coincidentally the very period when Portishead were giving lessons in timeless style... then fortunately, everything took on the right perspective... and there they were again, becoming rarefied with the appropriate dark and desperate languor (but not self-referential), elevating the already remarkable "labor lime" of the second and eponymous album to a higher level... of course, a conscious and disillusioned maturity can also be "very cool"!

Not bad, not bad... too bad for the classic sung by an adenoid-amorphic young Brit (a style that’s way too overused)... but when they let go of the verses and stanzas and the instruments shine solo, most of the time, it all adds up... a 3.5 would be enough, but I'll round up to raise the average.

I've often heard overly excessive praises sung about them... Newcombe may be an eclectic genius, for some... I find him, from what I've experienced, a good songwriter who is too often self-indulgent and ruined by "the bulimic inconsistency of the junkie"... um, I haven't listened to this, but what does "wall of feedback" mean?!... I know "Strung Out in Heaven," which sounds just like the Byrds with a few predictable low-fi production rough edges... I remember a mini from that same period where they oscillated between country and folk... all acoustic pieces and pretty shabby... then I stumbled upon "Bravery Repetition and Noise," and finally they became interesting with drier compositions, well-measured skewed melodies, and register variations... too bad that fans have dismissed it as their most commercial album. The review is a great read and stands on its own... but it doesn't fully clarify what to expect from the Brian Jonestown Massacre this time!!!...

And to all the opponents of libertarian REGIMES... we certainly endorse the FREEDOM to "VELTRONARSI" the brain with the listening of retrogressive and totalitarian music... listenings that COUNT for LITTLE in our PURPOSES of ear cups (and will COUNT for ZERO during the upcoming ballot counting!).
Björk Alarm Call EP

Mmmmh, it seems to me that the "single versions" of "All is Full of Love" are, for the most part, subsequent to those of "Alarm Call"... anyway, I’m not very familiar with the various remixes... "Homogenic" is the album I like the most and even though this is the most atypical and "easy" track, I don't mind it at all... since it breaks the balances, foreshadowing the compulsive assault of "Pluto" and the tempered fluidity of "All is Full of Love" (but we're not talking about the album here, eh...; ). A bit too much repetition in the review... but since it's about remixes...
Michelangelo Antonioni Cronaca di un amore

René Clair was inevitably ahead of his time... never liked Ferrarese... the reception is good only because with Antonioini you can't play with the symbols of "mise en scène"... overrated!

"One more day like today...and I'll kill you", no beating around the bush... but I also went overboard with perfection "pro causa"... "Siamese Twins" is deathly boring ; ).

Ahahah! Tonight I went out with a guy from my area who is a member of the "Underdogs" (the 10th group so named that plays Italic stoner rock)... and he talked to me (besides the politics of "Fuck Cover Bands" ; ) about the positive review on Rumore by Claudio Sorge... none other than... I thought they were having a nice little reunion since the guy in question used to play in a Nu-Metal band until not long ago... the genre that a few years back Sorge championed fiercely... What dark times!!!
