Come on, don't get down, come on... Let's raise the return on "Capital" a little...

Great Sora Lell... ahem, Ludo, dajee!!! However, the review gives me the impression of being promotional/subliminal messaging... Is it possible to download it before February 20th?! Or, now that I’ve read it, will a synaptic conditioning cause me memory loss and abreactive discharges every time I try to type "Carboniferous" on SS?!?!? I'll give it a try!

Oh, I could hardly tolerate them until "Strawberry Jam," but now I like them more precisely because the drop in "guitariness" has made the potpourri much less "folksy/freaky" (and I've always found beach bonfires with their accompanying acoustic guitars revolting... terrible sounds/performers and even more indecent drinks, even if they’re free ;).

For me, there's much more, including folk (both apocalyptic and "ssstrange"), kraut ambient and heavy melodic openings "Wave" style but with a dissonant approach (or seemingly lo-fi) almost No (Wave). Of course, the mood isn't the most serene, but I don't find the morbidity from armored balls that informs industrial and the darkest gothic here in total; rather, there's a sense of underlying irony (just read some of the titles). The comparison may seem silly, but I actually see some affinities in approach, albeit with a clear chiaroscuro and less frivolity and beach vibes, to Animal Collective (their latest really blows my mind, "ssstrange").
Karlheinz Stockhausen Helikopter-Streichquartett

Herr Karlheinz is so ahead (even in his departure he still is) that these comments don’t seem too ridiculous, just outdated (and "El Minchia" has the same futuristic mind as his grandfathers and the innovative approach of an "homo (l)habilis"... ; ). Among other things, it should be mentioned that more than a matter of dreams (and onanisms) there’s also a good dose of wicked irony: it’s one of the most daring and challenging performances for the performers precisely because Stockhausen had a genuine aversion to traditional string instruments.

Thank you for the dedication Soraludovaika, and sorry if I express my appreciation with such delay, but... I took the trouble to read your comments ; ). And now I even feel ready to indulge in the full version of "Oedipus Aeyptiacus"!

@Soraludovaika: good analysis of Brondi's "stream of consciousness," but it's not exactly something so original or "characterizing," it's been around for at least a century and is a technique far from being considered the exclusive offspring of a contemporary generation, especially since he himself is a "confessed sinner" when it comes to literary inspiration, especially when he brings up Boris Vian; that said, whether teenagers searching for a sense of (non) belonging and identification enjoy it doesn't bother me at all... a much more vulgar breed are the over-thirty nostalgics who, when listening to him, experience placid shivers of rebellious memories (who knows who they voted for at Tenco): better the supposed or presumptuous "avant-garde" then, at least it forces you to think, while if you just endure it, it dulls you...

Yeah, fiqui, fourmaggiuosi and passiti... your take on an album that almost made me "giuggiuolare" is a bit bizarre to me (and you really can't give it a high rating...). By the way, having a former DC boss (and I emphasize "former") isn't that strange, think that I can't even revel in any ancestral partisanship, but a guy who still considers himself "democri....no! I can't write it!!!" makes it a point of honor, indeed..gh!
Eluvium Talk Amongst The Trees

His work that I prefer, by far. "Copia" sounds too recognizably symphonic, the piano works are instrumentally obvious, while here the amalgamation is treated excellently in defining a unified flow that is much less distinguishable (with the exception of some guitar inserts that have more repetitive/hypnotic characteristics than openly melodic ones). Ultimately, this is his album that comes closest to drone/ambient and the rendering of a soundscape (albeit decidedly "natured").
