Nothing, huh?! Really brushed it off... But it’s not your fault, actually, you start with an interesting proposal, considering the standards of these pages in recent days. P.S.: If you like "indie and something" with a Pixies influence, with a nod to the more recent Blonde Redhead, you should check out the latest from Metric, "Fantasies." I think it’s cute, quite poppy but cute.

So cool!!! I really like their offshoots, especially "These Arms are Snakes" by Brian Cook, definitely less abrasive, more surface-level, but with a sharper mathy edge, a sort of well-balanced cross between "At the Drive In/Don Caballero."

Sure, just from the titles it promises to be really good (not so much the album title, which is fine and can be misleading), that assertive tone or opting mostly for the second person as the only vaguely considered approach... if you foam with rage and do "noisecore" that’s one thing, but, not being the case here, his considerations on minimal systems are just a pair of trinkets!

Well, in my opinion, with such projects, it's not like one has to ponder too much to understand their essence, and if after about ten days I’ve set it aside, I don’t think I was too hasty. For heaven's sake, given the scams Thompson has been dishing out for the past 10 years, there's enough to be reassured by the pumping effect of the wife, but we're still far from the 5 balls ("Come On Pilgrim + Surfer Rosa" and "Doolittle" are worth that, nothing else!).

Come on, blessed ignorance, and to think I believed it had been around for at least a couple of months... Of course, if I didn't bother to check in any record store (let alone in the mail-order catalogs) there must be a reason... And who knows what it is!!!

"Carthago Est Delenda,
and the pavements are beaches once more.
But in the morning when my alarm wakes me,
the concrete is back in its place.
As I trudge through the streets at the break of day,
it’s the river that calls me away.
The river flows outside of town,
away from dirt,
away from crowds,
and if I could follow it to the sea
I’d wash the sweat right off of me."
And then to say that the "Latin" quotation is ineffective!!!

Indeed, you could have begun with this album and then, after getting your feet wet... mmmh, no, after gaining some experience, move on to more serious and worthy things!!! ; )

It doesn't seem like it, Lux... it's Scott Kelly!!! Neurosis took him on tour as an opener in unsuspecting times, and Kelly has been a regular guest on Mastodon's albums since "Leviathan" (2004).

ENNOOEEEH!!!! Now you’re really making me angry!!! You write a long-winded, tedious piece about a record (which has already been reviewed) and then mess things up completely with an album (and a band) that's worthless!! That’s not cool!
Porcupine Tree In Absentia

The most Britto album by "P.T." that I've listened to! I didn't even like it when I was "into" Wilson and his cronies, let alone now that I find them excessively pompous... Here they seem to want to exaggerate, changing coordinates from track to track with unusual éclat, but they end up making a hash of everything and the operation resolves into the classic "exercise in style" — all surface and no substance.
