The Doors Strange Days

One of my favorites by the Doors.

In my opinion, Skeletron is wrong to say that one can talk about music without knowing anything about it, while for visual artworks one must study deeply. Either one accepts the power of a "direct" communication that art can possess, or one does not. Let me explain further: if an individual has a sufficiently developed sensitivity, they will be able to appreciate a work at least on an immediate level, even if they are unaware of what lies behind it, what it is a product of, and so on. Similarly, they may react "viscerally" to the music they listen to, even without knowing the biographies of the musicians, the historical period, or the connections between different genres, and so forth. That said, knowing more is always an important path to fully appreciating any work, musical or otherwise.
Bill Evans The Complete Village Vanguard Recordings 1961

The Aladdin by Young...another masterpiece! I really enjoy Garland with the quintet of Miles and Coltrane, but it's a bit conventional and predictable (after a while, a bit repetitive for my tastes) in trio.

Great expense! I would have just avoided the Garland trio... damn, Miles Smiles for 4.90!!! An album that can elevate your life at the cost of a margarita. Quite the story.
Chick Corea and Return To Forever Light As A Feather

Well, Purim really has intonation problems for me. Especially in the previous album (Return to Forever), it seems obvious to me. She sang only because she was Moreira's wife; Corea didn’t even want her!

That is "Extrapolation" from '69.

ExTRAploration! You mixed it up with Bill, Muffin. By the way, did you get the private message? Simple asociality or too many commitments? ;-)
John Coltrane Meditations

A fair of nonsense...

Black Star and Far Beyond The Sun have their charm.
