Stanley Clarke School Days

Even the highest marks, no! I would call it an honest little disc. It's technical, but there's no artistic or compositional maturity! And the sounds are somewhat commercial... Stanley Clarke, however, plays wonderfully (but he was guided by Chick Corea) in "Return To Forever" and "Light As A Feather."

The word end does not exist, nothing is definitive, neither our Sergione nor Clint. This is beautiful.

Alright high schoolers, do you want to hear a TRUE guitarist, from every perspective? SCOTT HENDERSON. Cheers.

Beautiful "Diary"! Always talking about Ralph, I would certainly recommend "Solstice" featuring Jan Garbarek, Eberhard Weber, and Jon Christensen, and the "Solo Concert," whose title says it all.

You're right 47, not even in the top 20. I had already mentioned DECINES of drummers better than him! Be careful, I don't want to discredit Bonham, it's just that objectively one cannot claim he is a great drummer. Don't be stadium fans, distinguish affection from true value. James Hetfield always topped the polls as the best guitarist and singer, but was he really?

I actually have a pretty good grasp of English, and then for my thesis, I had to read and use hundreds of scientific articles in English... anyway, the guide is all very understandable!

Lariana, the Penguin Guide (full title "The Penguin Guide To Jazz On CD Eight Edition") is a hefty tome of almost 2000 pages (written in accessible English, priced at 40 euros, available at Feltrinelli), which is somewhat the bible for anyone wanting to navigate the vast world of jazz records, to avoid randomly buying duds. I bought it somewhat late, and I must say that the opinions and judgments expressed by the authors about the records are remarkably objective and reliable. I’ve noticed that some particular flaws or merits that I had attributed to certain records were also highlighted by them. So now I trust this guide a lot when I need to choose which records to order. It has NEVER let me down (at least so far).

Yeah, okay... Cat Food!! Who the hell was Catfish? It can't be the undertaker who was supposed to give Verdone a tip about Jimi Hendrix...

Why only 3 stars? I love it to death; I would have done it myself sooner or later. The three are excellent, and the tracks you mentioned are really well done. Honestly, I don't particularly remember Catfish, but if it had been really dull, maybe I would have remembered... I'll listen to it again and let you know! 4.5
