So if you're determined to see them both, who knows, a review-comparison between the two different interpretations might bloom! Maybe this time the old man will calm down and play as he should ;-)

Great Muffin!! Anyway, Blackdog and Valerio, I was also there at the exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni... did you see the spectacle of those objectives? The mini-documentary on Kubrick's use of music for caricatural, dramatic, epic, and suspenseful purposes was very interesting... a significant part of the success of his films, both commercially and artistically, derives precisely from this! The section dedicated to Rothko was really nice, and also to that photographer whose name I can't remember; photos of incredible quality!

I forgot: the fantastic sound of ALL Blue Note records is EXCLUSIVELY thanks to the great Van Gelder! That great musicians know how to play and have a beautiful tone is "taken for granted," but to adequately capture their sound, it takes the touch of a master like Rudy!

First of all, welcome back! Finally high-quality jazz on the homepage. Personally, I prefer his subsequent Blue Note albums from the '60s, especially "Our Thing," featuring an extraordinary debut from Andrew Hill. I’d give that a 5. This one, in my opinion, deserves a 4.5. And the absolute masterpiece by Henderson remains "The State Of The Tenor," from '85, which I reviewed quite some time ago. Oh, let's keep this between us, don’t disappear again!! P.S.: it's spelled Dorham ;-)

Hi Vera, I wanted to ask you why you often find yourself at the ridiculously expensive and disappointing Pollini concerts, when your experience has repeatedly shown that they aren't fulfilling for you? I mean, who’s making you do that?

That's not good like this! Hi beautiful Honey, we almost always end up close in the posts... do you see that there's a bit of love there? I'm sending you a kiss on the neck ;-)
