It's a very different style, but I'm sure it won't disappoint you! To give you a better idea of Frank's albums that you might not know, I highly recommend browsing through the various reviews on the site, and also basing yourself (especially perhaps) on the comments! Enjoy your Zappa journey.

4 for the same reason that motivated dear Muffin! I don’t have the dischello, I also knew it wasn’t one of the peaks and I didn’t buy it; however, I have about ten from the great Frank, and I can only say that the three from the fintofreak period (“Freak Out!”, “Absolutely Free” and “We're Only In It For The Money”) are hilarious and biting and contain truly sharp satire of that time, even though from a purely instrumental point of view they don’t reach the heights of “Shut Up 'N' Play Yer Guitar” (with a ghostly Zappa and Vinnie Colaiuta), while remaining musically very valid (a bit less so the third album). From a compositional standpoint, I have great things to say about “Hot Rats” and “Joe's Garage," perhaps my favorite among those I’ve listened to so far, a beautiful concept album full of entirely enjoyable tracks (which is not always the case with Frank). I was partially disappointed with “Uncle Meat” and I am currently listening to “In New York," on which I still reserve my judgment.
