Christ, I was about to miss it! Great review, one of Hitchcock's best films! Too bad this page went unnoticed...

Thelonious Monk Genius Of Modern Music Vol. 1 & 2

Of course! I have the integral of the Blue Note recordings, which are stunning! To me, Nichols is an original composer just like Monk, but he was even more unfortunate, poor guy! Great artist. Another pianist-composer that I find comparable in many ways to these two is Andrew Hill...

Jake, there's worse: the duetto angunn-piero pelù ;-))) I only have the first two of the Return, which are great albums but didn't make me shout miracle. In the Fusion realm, I find the Mahavishnu Orchestra and Lifetime much more appealing. Good review.
Lester Young Trio

I have many things by Lester from what is considered the golden age. The Verve period is quite controversial. The overwhelming majority of critics regard it as a declining phase in his creativity, and probably influenced by this almost "unanimity" of negative judgment, I've never picked up any of those albums. However, I do know Verve's "The President Plays," with the Oscar Peterson trio, which I find beautiful. If that’s anything to go by, then this (and the other records that make up the aforementioned box set) must be good albums. I rate the wondrous quality of his sound and style, which opened up new horizons for hundreds of musicians.

Johann Sebastian Bach Brandeburg Concertos

Editors, it’s a shame that it’s not among the recommended. Not that this matters much for the "success" and appreciation of a review, but your selection should be based on rewarding high-quality reviews rather than catering to subjective tastes, and not choosing this, in my opinion, tarnishes your credibility a bit! "reviews that slightly please at least one editor," it roughly goes like this, I believe. So you want to say that NONE of you even slightly likes this proposal? Don’t you find either Bach, or these compositions, or the quality of the writing interesting, both in terms of expertise and vocabulary? I don’t know… I don’t want to spark a controversy; I just want to understand your criteria.

I quote senmayan! I've probably seen the first two chapters dozens of times... affectionately it's a 5, a bit more objectively a 4.
