don't argue this opinion (you do it in other reviews but not here), it would be nice to discuss it, if you explain the reasons for your idea I would be more encouraged to explain mine rather than recommending you external links and anyway not here out of respect for Vega and because in a few days I will post a review on the subject and you can vent there ;-).. the words you put in my mouth: "Soporifero como (at least for me) 'Little earthquakes'? Sorry, Captain, I couldn't do it:" if you say it like that it seems like I said it was soporific ;-).

@Bartle, dear friend, I'm responding point by point (yours): 1) there's no doubt 2) if you say '82 it means you think like me about the fact that they can't be considered before the advent of NWOBHM in the metal genre; I lean more towards "Painkiller" as a complete transition, but any date after '81 is ideally fine to explain the concept. After that date, in fact, modern metal had definitively taken shape, and those that emerged later would no longer be genres but subgenres (Epic, Thrash, Death, etc.). 3) I don't quite agree, in the Maiden of the '80s there’s very little HR; we can already talk about metal in its definitive state, and it’s neither a merit nor a defect, just an observation. 4) it may be and it definitely will be; I repeat, no one denies the influence of Priest. 5) not for me, but those are tastes. Cheers!

The fact that many metal groups were influenced by '70s JP does not mean that the latter played Metal; otherwise, by the same continuity, Zeppelin would also be Metal. No one, least of all myself, wants to deny the importance of Priest. My argument was about classification. At a certain point, Priest changed their sound (distinctly) leaning towards true metal tones. To me, this only happened in Painkiller because all the albums before were still very much tied to the Hard Rock world (among other things, the names you mentioned, if I’m not mistaken, belong more to this world than to pure HM). This is a stylistic discussion, and not just about riffs or attitude. Moreover, it is undeniable that Priest greatly influenced the transition from HR to HM (because they did, I’m not saying otherwise, I’m just saying that they were not the ones to complete the transition) just as they drew heavily from NWOBHM bands, which did complete the transition. This is a personal opinion, but I don’t think I’m straying too far from reality.

@Black: So you didn't listen to me, I had also suggested other albums, and anyway, I didn't say this album was soporific... I don't get one thing; it's fine to check my reviews or to continue insisting on this concept (which I think is wrong) when talking about Amos (and by the way, you never provide any arguments for it) but actually coming here and putting words in my mouth that aren't mine bothers me a little bit. Sorry if I'm treating you badly, you know I care about you, but today is a bad day and I've ended up in the middle of it.

No, it was an interesting conversation though.

The review poetry, dear Isi, is not a novelty; our DaveJon had tried it too. I'll look it up for you; I think it's among the literary cases...
