I always go to see PFM when they come to my area. I like all their albums, even the weaker ones. The feeling I get when I go to see them is that I'm dealing with musicians who, despite being 60, still play with the same enthusiasm and passion. That unforced passion that has almost entirely vanished in modern musicians.
Carla Bruni No Promises

Bruni is muuuuuch smarter than Campbell. 10 to 1
Max Gazzè Tra l'aratro e la radio

Ghemson Sanremo should not be mistreated. Everyone wants to go there only to deny it if it leads to success (typical Italian). Even pseudo-engaged singer-songwriters of the new generation (whom I don't like) like Morgan (with Bluvertigo), Angelini, or Silvestri have often been there. Silvestri is particularly the worst of all. Silvestri is the classic type who, if his records sold without festival promotion, would disavow the festival.
Even the Baustelle (who seem fake to me) have tried to go there as authors for Irene Grandi (Bruci la città was excluded last year). So this means that the money from the royalties of mass success was tempting to them (it would have come eventually). Recently, La Crus also tried to go (excluded), and Alice went there (people of great quality). Gazzè and Cammariere (to stick with the most talented) are forced to go to the festival because otherwise their records don't sell (as has been widely demonstrated). Fabi no longer goes to the Festival because he currently doesn't need to, but you’ll see that sooner or later he will return. One should not forget who helped you.

To me, anyway, People and Home (but also, to some extent, Songs from the Rain) seemed like great albums. But I like everything that’s Irish...

I was very skeptical too, but I had to change my mind. A very well-made album.
Lou Reed The Blue Mask

A wonderful album. The most beautiful alongside Berlin, Transformer, Coney Island Baby, New York, and Songs for Drella. A masterpiece.
Lucio Battisti Una giornata uggiosa
Voto:
Great record. I seem to remember that Mogol said that the collaboration with Battisti should have continued beyond that. In fact, he went to Lucio's house to discuss the next record. While they were about to talk about the album, Battisti's wife told Lucio, in an authoritative tone, to go and get the soap from the garage (or something like that, I don't remember well), interrupting the creative process. From this, Mogol understood that the partnership was over and that the wife wanted to have her say (as eventually happened in the dreadful E Già).
