@47: unfortunately yes. A real shame, I would say...especially considering that he was a co-founder of the band...

Fosca, you know I've always liked them too, I just wanted to clarify to Mementomori that I've never found them unpleasant, aside from always having liked them musically speaking ;)

I don’t really agree with you in calling Giardini Di Mirò "fucking sycophants," mainly because I don't actually have any animosity towards them. However, the review is excellent, as always. I still have to listen to the album; I’m stuck on "Dividing Opinions" (which I haven’t fully explored), and I consider "Rise And Fall..." a gem of our local post-rock scene.

Did you know that some time ago I had a nightmare about them? I dreamed I was buying one of their CDs! (brrrrr...)
Meganoidi Al Posto del Fuoco
Voto:
Lux, by "malign" I meant those who thought that the Meganoids were inconsistent (see the period of "Superheroes")...
Meganoidi Al Posto del Fuoco

Much more coherent and independent than the malicious thought. And also very skilled in the new musical path they are taking. This CD is an excellent addition to the local scene...

Alex, I'm not one of those who believe that only the first two JAMC albums are valid either. I enjoy "Automatic," "Honey's Dead," and "Stoned & Dethroned" as well (I exclude "Munki," which I don't own...), which I have finally managed to find completely.

I’m not familiar with this project; I'll need to look into it. "The Jesus and Mary Chain have been out of the game for five years, and their 'Automatic' from 1989 is just a memory." I’m not sure what you mean by "out of the game," because after "Automatic," JAMC released three more albums ("Honey's Dead," released in 1992, "Stoned & Dethroned," from 1994, and "Munki," from 1998). If you meant that those albums I mentioned pale in comparison to "Automatic," well...
E. Elias Merhige Begotten

Great film, very interesting and also quite scary. As far as I know, you can give this film any meaning you want... it depends on the perspectives of those who have seen it. From my point of view, Merhige wanted to synthesize the barbaric way humanity has distorted nature and also the concept of religion. The scene of God's suicide proves this, a scene that for me symbolizes the state of those who don't want to accomplish anything in their lives, who don't want to take action, people who, unaware of their future, will soon find themselves on the brink of death (the point of the death of the Son of the Earth and Mother Nature testifies to this), in front of a foolish and ignorant populace unable to accept them. Perhaps it can be considered a true Expressionist vision (as Eletto1987 said), a sort of dark Munchian scream in black and white, in cinematic form.
