Luciano Ligabue Radiofreccia

@marpado: Well... "I don’t recall ever having expressed an opinion on this particular work, also because it doesn't seem to have been reviewed in these parts." I know you never expressed a view on "Radiofreccia" (there was already a review by Poletti-Pirletti in here), in fact I just said that I think this film is still decent, but already there was that aura around it that would instantly turn "Lucianone" into a real money-devouring machine. Let’s say that what you think is almost what I think today, in the sense that if at first he had genuineness and it was valid (the first three albums + a decent EP), shortly after, after a mediocre album that is not a masterpiece as too many claim ("Buon Compleanno Elvis"), a live album, and this film, came the decline, the definitive abyss, proof that Luciano should have said ENOUGH right away instead of pumping us with his last nonsense. "Have you heard the latest single (don't say no because the usual hammering has been going on for a while)?" "Il Mio Pensiero," you mean? Bah, I don’t listen to the radio anymore (except for Radio Rock here in Rome), I don’t care about television unless it’s something good, so I don’t know if I’ve heard it, but if I have, I didn't like it. "When I stop deluding myself, I will also stop commenting on Ligabue (and Vasco). Until then, you'll have to put up with me." I didn’t say I can’t stand your anti-Vasco or anti-Ligabue comments anymore, I just pointed out this "repetitiveness" that didn’t convince me... and I also wanted to give you a piece of advice: to discover valid Italian music, you shouldn’t rely exclusively on commercial radio (if you listen to them...).

"Notice instead how my favorite time wasters, Mr. GustavoTanz and his partner ICNARF, try to provoke me uselessly with their stupidity so that I can waste time on their teenager nonsense... changing the subject instead... Minchia, you are really unwell. Like, REALLY. "you have me" But go back to studying, come on... you have no more excuses."

You do it on purpose. Admit it, you do it on purpose.

@Grasshopper: and where do we put "Bella 'Mbriana," "Vai Mò," and "Musicante"? For me, until "Ferryboat," Pino was a giant. (Ah, the live "Sciò"... proof that when you put your heart into it, it's always possible to create such a beautiful live performance...) Then after the excellent "Bonne Soirèe" (bad for some, still good for me despite NOT being on the level of past albums), this slip-up arrives. Fortunately, some tail-end successes that I believe are superior to this will follow: "Mascalzone Latino," "Un Uomo In Blues," and "Che Dio Ti Benedica," and I also add "Medina," another album not transcendent, but with more soul compared to duds like "Dimmi Cosa Succede Sulla Terra" (damn, I regret buying it years ago... I'll save just one or two songs), "Come Un Gelato All'Equatore," or "Passi D'Autore" (MY GOD!!!!). I'm starting to support Primiballi's thesis that to make a new album, Daniele shouldn't be hanging out with Fabiola; then maybe some other tail-end success would emerge.

In the end, tastes are tastes. For certain people, I believe the saying holds true: let's not confuse what they were with what they are today...

Marpado, we understand your disdain for Ligabue (almost) in general (and strangely repeated in many of your past comments... could it be a vice of yours? I hope not). Personally, I have an aversion (always in a negative sense, but that was already clear) to 99% of what he has done after "Su E Giù Da Un Palco" (and at the same time after this "Radiofreccia," his only decent cinematic work in my opinion). But just because we give him more than two stars doesn’t AUTOMATICALLY (I underline this because I, like others, dissociate myself from all the sheep who believe that Ligabue is always a god) mean that we’re all pretentious who indulge in introspection and existential analysis. Of course, excluding people like Clako who don’t deserve comments...

Excluding the insults that I imagine will come pouring in (not to mention things like "die, may your heart burst, may something happen to you" and various other senseless remarks), I consider this a good album. "Children," like it or not, is a piece of history.

"What do you think it means in Italian 'An album that brushes against the peak of cruelty and expressiveness'?" It means that Catarro is an idiot.
