The presence of a negligible film like "Da 0 a 10" on the homepage with such a harsh critique might make one frown at what Ligabue had managed to achieve as a director and screenwriter with "Radiofreccia." Well, I do not want to draw comparisons with Luciano as a singer/artist(?)/songwriter, and I'll focus on the critique of a sincere film, beautiful, and far from the commercial trash of its soundtrack.
"How many times do I have to tell you! Life is not perfect, lives in movies are perfect, good or bad, but perfect; there are no dull moments in movies, life is full of dull moments, in movies you always know how it ends, in life you never know!"
The plot tells the events of a group of boys from the '70s whose vicissitudes pass sometimes cheerfully, sometimes tragically, around life's problems, both the heaviest and the most trivial, with the backdrop of the first free radios. Our protagonists, in fact, decide to open one of their own. From this, musical tastes and influences will emerge, highlighting the extroverted and sometimes introverted character of the characters.
As a native of Romagna, I cannot help but appreciate the superb characterization of the characters with a purely rustic style and out of touch with the world. An alienation from which the youngsters of the time struggled (and still struggle) and wanted to free themselves by falling into city vices and moving away from the country people (interestingly, Correggio) where they find their peak in Freccia (an outstanding Stefano Accorsi), who takes on problems that he will struggle to endure throughout the film.
The film's strong points are the wonderful characterization of the characters (including the "country" ones) and the inspired songs of the soundtrack retrieved from the seventies' repertoire and dear to the director. A strong autobiographical scent permeates the whole movie and does nothing but accentuate the nostalgia that manifests itself in a tragicomic way throughout the film, thanks to a beautiful performance by the entire cast. Furthermore, the simplicity that borders on amateurishness and a marked simple philosophy can be the film's strongest or weakest point. While for many of you these elements might lend the film a sense of grotesque, for others they might cause irritation beyond any limit. The final opinion is yours.
After all, this is a great film shot in a simple and straightforward manner with its own means and a great cast, which also includes the presence of Guccini as a somewhat surly bartender, and speaks directly to the viewer about the meaning of life and best introduces you to village life.
"I believe in Bonimba's bicycle kicks and in Keith Richards' riffs. I believe in the landlord's double doorbell ring, asking for the rent at the start of every month. I believe everyone deserves to have a mother and father who are decent to them, at least until they can stand on their feet. I believe there will never be an Inter team like that of Corso, Mazzola, and Suarez again, but it's not said that there won't be others just as beautiful in a different way. I believe that it's not all here, but before believing in something else, you must come to terms with what's here. And so, I think I will eventually believe in some God. I believe that if I ever have a family, it will be tough to get by with 300,000 a month, but I also believe that unless I kiss up like my department head does, things will hardly change. I believe I have a big hole inside, but also that rock 'n' roll, a few girlfriends, football, some job satisfaction, the silly things with friends, well, they sometimes fill this hole for me. I believe that wanting to escape from a town of twenty thousand inhabitants means you want to escape from yourself, and I believe you can't escape from yourself, not even if you're Eddie Merckx. I believe it's not right to judge other people's lives, because anyway, you can't know a damn thing about the lives of others."

14 Siamo in onda (03:18)
Se ne frega di serrande
di finestre sempre chiuse
di sistemi troppo grandi
di destini già decisi
e finisce sotto letti
dove si balla da un po'.
Sembra quello che non vince
il suo istinto di guardone
ha la faccia come il culo
di chi si fa perdonare
sembra il suono di una voce
che parte proprio da te.
Siamo in onda di qualchecosa
tieni l'onda, tienila accesa
prendi l'onda
finché ti passa di lì
finché ti passa di lì.
E' leggero come l'aria
anzi forse più leggero
e finisce in qualche stereo
che qualcuno ha "preso in nero"
e finisce nella vita
di chi dice "e io che ne so?".
Siamo in onda di qualchecosa
tieni l'onda, tienila accesa
prendi l'onda
finché ti passa di lì
finché ti passa di lì.

"This self-satisfied and self-referential double album is the best example of it."
