I personally believe that "The Fragile" is superior to "Pretty Hate Machine" but slightly inferior to "The Downward Spiral." As for Trent being superior to Depeche, in my opinion, it depends. Between "Violator" (well, the first one that comes to mind from Depeche... I could have mentioned "Music For The Masses") and "Pretty Hate Machine," I prefer the former... while still appreciating both works a lot. I would agree with you if you had mentioned "Exciter" or the early albums by Depeche (like "Speak & Spell" or "Black Celebration")...

"Non Zero Sumness" was a masterpiece, perhaps one of the most beautiful electronic albums of recent years. "The Illogical Consequence" is also great, while I only know "Static" by name... "Lemonade": still not listened to.
