Twelfth Night Fact and Fiction

Well, not much, I found it quite prog-like (neologism) all in all. A fan of new-prog? Very interesting... What do you like in particular?

Okay, but apart from the vocals, what’s the difference between black and death?
Autumn Tears Love Poems for Dying Children - Act I

<<But killing oneself, no matter how determined we might be, is not that easy. Willpower alone is not enough; it takes guts, the (physical and intellectual) strength to cross what Battiato calls the door of supreme fear. Not only because of the physical pain that such an act entails but also because of the very idea, the assumption of a responsibility that is too great: that of committing an irreversible act, one impossible to correct afterward. I, for example, don't have the guts; I simply can't do it, and even in the darkest moments, I always find a reason why life is worth living. Or at least I discover that it is more desirable than throwing myself onto the tracks and being crushed by a speeding train.>>

Mmm, folk, evocative atmosphere, slowed down tempos, choirs, epicness... interesting... But what is screm? Simply them screaming? No, because "evocative"... :-)))

But what does grunge have to do with it?? And then, one of the greatest strengths of "grunge" is precisely its communicative urgency; if Mudhoney aren't direct......

And then, since I've already messed up, what's the difference between black and death? And what’s viking? Don't shoot me, okay? :-))

Well, I guess that means I'll do without black and death then :D After all, not everything can please everyone, right? But, excuse me if I speak from a layman's perspective and therefore sound ignorant/ridiculous, do you think growling is really necessary for works of these genres? I mean, how would they come across if sung in a cleaner way? For example, in the Opeth album I mentioned earlier, I don't think the clean-sung parts are "inferior" to the growled ones (on the contrary). Especially since he has such a beautiful voice, that damn guy :-)))
