I can't stand Corgan's voice. I have the album too, but I haven't listened to it in years.

@trimalchione, it depends, if you tell me one of the top 500 albums in the history of rock, then it could work!

Damn, but happy in front of Sanjuro? Are you sure, Nick?? Uhm, it’s a nice fight... but Sanjù... well, Sanjù...

What can you tell me about Falkenbach? From what I've read, they intrigue me...

@ozzy, thanks. I know the latest Amorphis (we talked about it in the recent fjell review, remember?). Thanks also to Vincent.

Sure, but the Scaruffian music has nothing to do with this :-) Then Scaruffi loves Viatti, which you also like, right? Regarding the fact that the best prog bands are the most famous, yes and no. There are a lot of great unknown bands. Starting from Canterbury (the Khan above all, but even Viatti isn't famous. Richard Sinclair has to work as a plumber to make a living!!). And then, I don't know, Cressida, Anglagard, Comus, High Tide, Magma, Pavlov's Dog, etc. etc. I don't know Finisterre, I'll look into it.

USY would have been good if they had made it last 50 minutes instead of 130.

"But maybe we can't understand each other because we have a different conception of music. I listen to progressive because I like it, not because it's intellectual. I don't like noise albums; I like albums that are pleasant to the ear." Manliuzzo, you’re losing it :D If you think I like a certain kind of music just because it's intellectual, you're really off track. And what do noise albums have to do with it??? I mean, is Zarathustra a noise album??? We're talking about progressive groups, not Mudhoney :-))) We're simply having musical discussions; I don't claim to be funny. The discussion isn’t pointless; this site thrives on discussions like this. By the way, if you say my comments are "epic," you probably don't have a clear understanding of the meaning of "epic." In the end, all that's left are your personal tastes, and those are not up for debate. However, the reasoning you presented doesn’t hold up. If you have an idiosyncrasy towards intellectual lyrics, that's fine, but it's your own issue; it's just a matter of taste. But that’s not a sufficient reason to claim that this group is superior to Museo or Biglietto. To conclude, if you like "unintellectual" Italian prog, try listening to "Dedicato a Frazz" by Semiramis, or maybe even De De Lind ("I don't know where I come from..." etc.), or Alusa Fallax. Alphataurus is also highly regarded (among enthusiasts, of course), but I don't like them.

Messengers of God?? Scary and mystical verses?? This is Nietzsche, did you get it or not??? But then, since we’re 19-year-olds coming from a small, remote town (which obviously implies that we can't make high-level music (?)(...)), we end up writing shitty lyrics that make chickens laugh, just like Benson... And who knows how many 19-year-olds from small towns in the UK or USA have made groundbreaking records. Like Canterbury, is it perhaps a metropolis? Then should Wyatt also have written lyrics like Benson?? But then, isn’t making mind-blowing music like that of Picchio dal Pozzo ambitious?? Come on, give me a break.
