Well, Don, I finally got it, listened to it and listened to it again, and I can say you were right to consider it the best by Neil. I just have to thank you for suggesting its purchase to me repeatedly. I believe the second side, in particular, is the best he's ever composed (even though I don't know his entire discography). While I greatly appreciate all the works I've listened to, this one and its "twin," Tonight's the Night, seem to be the two most heartfelt and intense. One (Tonight's) is more sick/haunted, soaked in anger and despair, a kind of descent into hell, while the other (this one) is perhaps more contemplative and resigned; I might even say "cathartic," not sure if you agree. The monumental review among the "classic" style ones is perhaps the best I've read on this site, worth reading as an example.
