He he prolissa... The review, on the other hand, is several notches above the average Debaserian for me.

Actually, it was an excuse to take the time to catch up on all the Canterbury albums that I'm not familiar with and to be ready for your upcoming reviews :DDD

I’ve never listened to The Beggar's Opera, but you confirm what I had already suspected, which is that it’s better to steer clear of them :DD Honestly, I don’t find these works that difficult to digest; they seem like a somewhat unsuccessful attempt to take the proposal from the Moody Blues (awful) and add a bit of taste and complexity to it. Just to stick with Canterbury, works like those of Arzachel from the previous year or "If I Could Do It..." by Caravan from the same 1970 were light years ahead.

@psycho, he he I totally get you, as time goes by we become more "intolerant" towards this rather pompous prog (which is practically a unique case in the Canterbury scene). A year ago, you weren't that harsh in your judgment on this work (see your comment on the reviews of the other Egg album) :D Of course, yesterday I listened to both albums by The Way We Live/Tractor (terrifying), and right after that I put on the Egg and I also felt a little let down ;-).

He he this time I anticipated your moves :D Mmm frankly I'm having a hard time digesting this keyboard progressive, after a while it becomes cloying. The first side leaves me rather indifferent, while in the suite there are certainly more interesting parts. I still prefer the subsequent "The Polite Force," definitely more mature and with compositions that are closer to the more "flowery" and dreamy side of the Canterbury Sound. In my opinion, Giona, you send a bit too many reviews on similar topics one after another; the beautiful proposals are appreciated more if they are spaced out over time rather than in a single binge :-)

Well, since we’re in the mood for "outing," I’m the third one on this page whose opinion on Plant's voice isn’t all that enthusiastic ;-)
