"Never before has it been so easy to take advantage of the opportunity to draw in the curious, wallowing morbidly in the brief yet incredible and intense life of GG Allin." cfr.http://www.debaser.it/recensionidb/ID_25703/GG_Allin_and_The_Jabbers_Always_Was_Is_And_Always_Shall_Be.htm

"Black Hawk Down"??? Come on!!! The umpteenth spectacle from an author who has nothing left to say, the usual American blockbuster split into the two classic parts of the prologue with the stereotypes to get attached to and cheer for, and then the epilogue with explosions and the moralizing lecture that war is wrong but when the US soldier is unfortunately in it, he fights with all his heart. I also don’t understand why they awarded this film an Oscar, which isn't a film about the Iraq war just as Apocalypse Now isn’t about Vietnam, as stated in the opening line: "the fury of battle causes total addiction because war is a drug." It’s the personal and coherent journey of a creator who has always based her vision of life on something to endure through adrenaline-fueled drugs. It’s like Kubrick said, how to learn to stop worrying and love the bomb. The first ten dry and tension-filled minutes of this film are worth all the spectacle of Black Hawk Down by that inflated balloon Ridley Scott who (except for the first three films) is exactly what makes movies like going to the town square bar to ask for the "usual" you’ve become accustomed and addicted to.

this is a country that allows those who have taken billions out of Italy to bring them back by paying 5% to those who have instead paid hefty regular taxes. While it forces the children of the “topi di fogna,” as the fat man calls them, to pay exactly the same as the child of the wealthy. This is the red watermelon inside and green outside. You should be red with shame.

imasoul in the case of Mood Six I would say very pop and barely rock :) ....quite light to the point of being syrupy

In my opinion, not a five, the magnificent album by Drive-By Truckers was Southern Rock Opera, but then they settled into a standard where inspiration is rather lacking.

My God, did you see the Phish? Their dimension is live, not in the studio, with the songs never played the same way in two different concerts and jams stretched to the limit, capable of asking the audience how they want the piece to end, polka, honkytonk, blues, march, mazurka just like Uncle Frankie used to do. If being technically good means being polished, then they are, but the warmth and fun that live albums like "A Live One" convey is rare since the nineties.

"Thousands of voters from Campania who rewarded the Minister for Equal Opportunities with an enormous number of votes (over 55,000), confirming the undeniable political talent of this young woman." The cases are two 1) Dilorenzo is a real fool 2) Dilorenzo thinks he is speaking to fools. If Nicole Minetti, Berlusconi's dental hygienist, had been in Carfagna's place, she would have received the same votes. The League would be a "watermelon," green on the outside and red on the inside, that is, a leftist movement, behind every other appearance. A leftist movement that stands with the boss, that sits with those who would abolish not just Article 18 but the entire Workers’ Statute, with those who take food away from the children in daycare who are behind on their fees… well, screw it then. Buy yourself one of the last books reviewed by Punisher from the Autogrill baskets, maybe "Technique for Producing Ideas" and come up with your own instead of chasing after nonsense like the watermelon, red on the inside and green on the outside.

thank you for the compliments, and it’s nice to hear from an old debaser friend returning, and it’s always lovely to know that beyond the technical rambling you conveyed an emotion with a ...review :) Willy Vlautin’s Motel Life has certainly been released in Italy, which I definitely recommend to those who enjoy the referenced authors, more Carver I’d say. I enjoyed it a lot, here you can find the first chapter Motel Life di Willy Vlautin - lifestyle - MenStyle.it

In parentheses "Something Else" is also the title of a famous contemporary album by Cannonball Adderley, who has the honor of having Miles Davis by his side, along with the wonderful Hank Jones on piano and Art Blakey on drums. A classic hard bop album, this is definitely a must-have in any jazz discography.

Ornette is like that... take it or leave it, I believe his career doesn't resemble anyone else's, he started as an innovator and then stepped aside; as you say, he wasn't the type to impose himself even though he had the talent to do so. Here's the piano, and I think the piano has little to do with Coleman's music; I believe he only played it with Paul Bley. Skeletron, if you don't like jazz, why don't you go bother someone in a genre you know?
