Apparently, in your extensive knowledge, you're overlooking the Litmus, who are not exactly pushovers, in addition to being compared to the Hawkwind of 2000. "Planet fall" came out this year, and it's a great album.

Damn deneil... the scene with the spider blocking the way with its web is legendary! They also made a movie of "I Am Hellen Driscoll" a few years ago, but I haven't seen it and I don't think it deserves to be seen. It's true: Matheson's book is an immortal classic and, as it turns out, is periodically exploited. Let's not forget that Matheson was Roger Corman's screenwriter for all the films adapted from Poe. Among the novels, besides the magnificent "Three mm a day" pointed out by Bartleboom, there's also the great "I Am Helen Driscoll."
