just taken off the plate and I was a fool to let it gather dust all these years. it's still a blast but how much naivety in those spaceship sounds from the "XM" launch... but that final "Starship" with the voices chasing each other makes it clear where John Doe and Exene Cervenka from X drew their inspiration.

Well, you know a lot about space rock and you wish that "IF ONLY something space rock would come out." Apparently, in your extensive knowledge, you're overlooking the Litmus, who are not exactly pushovers, in addition to being compared to the Hawkwind of 2000. "Planet fall" came out this year, and it's a great album.

For a movie that everyone has given a 2, including the reviewer! And on my scale (but everyone has their own scale here), that means not even sufficient! Damn deneil... the scene with the spider blocking the way with its web is legendary! They also made a movie of "I Am Hellen Driscoll" a few years ago, but I haven't seen it and I don't think it deserves to be seen. It's true: Matheson's book is an immortal classic and, as it turns out, is periodically exploited. Let's not forget that Matheson was Roger Corman's screenwriter for all the films adapted from Poe. Among the novels, besides the magnificent "Three mm a day" pointed out by Bartleboom, there's also the great "I Am Helen Driscoll."
