It's already a shame because the version of "Walk on By" is extraordinary. Today everyone is busy praising Battles or other recyclers who pretend to be avant-garde, but this was a record from 1969 (!) with just four tracks from the Stax period (!!) that blended funky bass, beat drums, and heavy guitar (!!!). Should we not mention that Hayes, with his smooth talk, shaved head, black glasses, and jewelry all over his body, anticipated rap and hip hop, or shall we keep believing that people like Battles are the true innovators and the rest are just clowns?

Mauro, calm down a bit, I know that life in general is tough and that broccoli and condoms keep getting more expensive, but sometimes it’s also nice to have fun shooting out some nonsense like Bjorky did without wanting to offend anyone.

Oh yes, the history depicted by the Maya in their writings and paintings was already crafted by those clever ones back then so that we poor, dull contemporaries would understand it in the way they wanted us to, and not how it actually was. Thank goodness there are people like Gibson who enlighten us; it seems that the University of Sapienza in Rome invited him instead of the pope, who tried to make us believe that the Earth does not revolve around the sun...

@emanuele, it doesn't seem to me that Jake reiterates they should sell at all costs nor that they are prostituting themselves, but rightly points out that too often, it's undeniable, this genre has strayed into onanistic virtuosism. The only note is precisely the inclusion of Joe Lovano in the genre. In his albums, I've never seen him as a fusion saxophonist.

The fascist idiots you talk about are 67 faculty members who signed the protest, including Carlo Cosmelli (Physics teacher) "he is convinced that, when scientific truth conflicts with revealed truth, the former must stop. Such a thing cannot be accepted in a scientific community"; Andrea Frova (general physics teacher) "we who have dedicated our whole lives to science do not feel like listening, in our own home, to an authoritative voice that again condemns Galileo." And they are absolutely right because they are IN THEIR OWN HOME and not in the middle of a public square.

No, I don't know who I'm talking to and honestly, I don't even care. I'm just responding to a user on Debaser who in their previous post had shown that they didn't understand why the Pope was not invited by invoking Article 21 of the Constitution. Because this is about an INVITATION; it's not like there were squads preventing the Pope from speaking in the public square. Now, the MAJORITY of that institution, the HOSTS, deemed the visit and speech of the Pope in their house unwelcome for the reasons mentioned above. Well, you are the FASCIST who thinks that it is unjust. That's it. These are the facts.

And who isn't found in that Rhino collection? You go from the Chesterfield Kings to the pop of the Dukes of Stratosphere! Anyway, this is a great album that often plays in my player, and that's a good sign. It's more filled with Byrds here; if you like (like me) garage music, check out their first EP "10-5-60" and "Native Sons," both of which I have on vinyl. They're much more garage there, and I think you know well what it means to come from the school of the fundamentalist Shelley Ganz.

Damn it, I bought this Blue Note CD in 1991! Not because I stole the others, but because I’ve never been into fusion. But this is one of those rare things, and the good Mendoza, I don't think he has ever both preceded and repeated himself at these levels. Plus, my big friend Joe Lovano is playing, who, in a snapshot taken together on the streets of Perugia, takes up the entire photo all by himself.

Salieri? ...they're not the New Trolls...

I've always liked the Righeira because they're drugged, gay, and never take themselves seriously (unfortunately, many Debaser users will probably tear apart this review). But honestly, I don't think the Public Image of rotten even knew them. Even though the Righeira brother with the orange hair and the laminated suit really gives off the impression of a tripped-out Lydon (it even rhymes).
