this yes before but we must especially listen to the great Complete early recordings from 1927-29 released by John Fahey. Dock's story makes it clear that certain women need to be shot, his wife prevented him from continuing to play for the safer job in the mines until in the fifties he was kicked in the ass in the middle of the street because he was no longer needed for the cause of progress.

Some mornings you open Debaser and it feels like it's always Groundhog Day, just like in "Groundhog Day."

You said it well, the commercial breakthrough of a great artist, I didn't even like Inside Out with that insistence on the Echoplex, the best of John Martyn lies in the duo "Bless the Weather" and "Solid Air," milestones.

@psycho: Do you mean the ones from "Magic potion"? If so, I have to say that they don't give me that impression; rather, maybe more like the first piece by Wicked Lady on "The axeman cometh."

@muito I replied to you on cantuaria çdr.@dr. adder don't let the Ry album from last year "My Name is Buddy" slip by either, it goes back to traditional American music: bluegrass, polka, jazz, country, blues, with a lot of great musicians, Flaco Jimenez, Van Dike Parks, Keltner on drums, Jon Hassel on trumpet.

I saw Vinicius Cantuaria live a couple of years ago, and he struck me as a Brazilian Willy De Ville, which is the highest compliment I can give him. As for the tear-jerking song, it's "Another Day" by Roy Harper. Music, lyrics, and interpretation are at the highest level.

The Cadillac on the cover is a Fleetwood, a world that no longer exists except in Cuba, when Perez Prado was rehashing the sound of American big bands. But can I confess something to you? I find more emotion in the recovery records of gritty American sounds by Cooder like "Paradise and Lunch" and "Chicken Skin Music" (forever five stars) than in this display of great and refined instrumental elegance. Like any admirer of Ry Cooder from the seventies.
