Well, defining them as one of the most interesting groups in the English progressive scene seems to me an offense to people of pure second choice like Jade Warrior or Audience, just to name a few "minor bands."

...and then with the progressive scene these had nothing to do with.

FOR ME absolutely dispensable, if we give 4 to these, then how much should we give to people like Amazing Blondel, Spirogyra, Dando Shaft, Incredible String Band, the same (lower category compared to the previous ones) Forest?

Any Altman film from 1970 to 1975 is extraordinary, an apotheosis of the antihero. I believe what might appeal most to a trash connoisseur like you is "Brewster McCloud."

I wanted to say that if you're into the music of the 70s, you might guess the name of that character, otherwise if you only listen to today’s crap, then wait for the review. If you don’t give a damn, amen. Last night they played the album for me, it's very heartfelt and the falsetto voice is intriguing, but the disappointment lies in the fact that in some tracks they added other instruments later in the studio, including drums, brass, and backing vocals. The madness is missing, the madness.

I don't know the album, but in the end, it always comes back to the usual names, perhaps ignoring that in 1974, another character, outside of all commercial logic, secluded himself in a farmhouse in Wales with a 4-track Teac to produce extraordinary tracks that only saw the light of day because his brother was a sound engineer at the BBC.

The fact is that I live in Naples but I haven't understood a damn thing. About ten years ago, the construction company I worked for was modernizing (let's put it that way...) the Salicelle neighborhood in Afragola (the hometown of Bassolino, editor's note) and I saw things that we humans cannot imagine, yet it’s their everyday reality layered in centuries of state absence, and the monster was me, a stranger to all of that, or you who are now trying to understand, certainly not them.

...some brainy technician explain to me where that double 1 came from, I didn't click on them...

They are best known for the single Talk Talk, Bonniwell has a very dark voice but the producers, for commercial reasons, made him remove some of their tracks to include bland covers of Beatles and Neil Diamond, while the version of Hey Joe fits the band's style. I believe this is their only decent album.
