Wilbur Smith Il settimo papiro

Try it to believe it. Know before you speak.
A little story: I met Wilbur Smith at a presentation of one of his novels at the Egyptian Museum in Turin (so not at some anonymous bookstore...). He spoke as an equal with those who have studied Egypt and its history for a lifetime. The director of the museum introduced him as one of the greatest experts of the Third Dynasty of the pharaohs. This is just to say how rich in culture his writings are... when it was my turn for an autograph, I asked him: Why don’t you try writing a book under a pseudonym to see if it sells just as well anyway? He looked at me as if to say... congratulations, you’re the millionth person to ask me this question. Before I lost the chance to converse with someone I consider a genius, who was about to dismiss me, I added: If you need a borrowed name, feel free to use mine. At that point, he stood up, shook my hand while laughing, and said: ok... I'll give you a ring...
What do I want to say with this? Nothing. But it sounds cool.
To the obvious (and predictable) detractors, buy this book, whether from the front or back of the cash register, it doesn't matter. READ IT, and then we’ll talk again. BYE!

You're very welcome. I don't think I'll buy the book.. but if you lend it to me, I'll consider it. ;)

by the way... I also wanted to give a different interpretation of the clik... and yours makes perfect sense, in fact... ; ) but I didn't do it out of respect for those movements, for the passion that Enbar put into it, and for the undeniable impact that the image conveys.

Vortex... what do you mean by "I don’t grasp"? What you call a lack of memory and guidance is, to my eyes, so clear that it’s frightening. I don't think I've ever said the opposite, after all.

Those who fight have changed the world and made it better for all of us. Arming oneself in a makeshift way, masking up, and taking to the streets is the act of heroes. It must be done, and I would do it too, if necessary. But lately (Libya and similar situations aside), people don masks, arm themselves, and take to the streets to destroy cities, often without knowing why. Because it's cool, because it demonstrates (mostly to themselves) that they are STRONG, that they do not fear power, and blah blah blah.
Those who face the "fighters," on the other hand, do not choose to arm themselves and take to the streets. They follow orders, often against their will.
All of this to say that, beyond the beautiful photo, beyond the excellent prose of Enbar77, the image unsettles me significantly. The world was made better by the fighters of the past. Most of those today, in my opinion, would make it better by staying at home.

But do they pay you per piece? To convince someone to follow the path of the new Faber povia, this guru of the new millennium, master of life, you had to put in a bit more effort. A lot more. anvedidannatteneaffan...brodo.

I won't repeat judgments about the album that I've already expressed elsewhere. A review that's a bit TOO MUCH, perhaps too much... but interesting because it shows attention and a desire to understand the history of music between the lines. I can't help but highlight the grammatical monstrosity of the if + conditional... it's stronger than me. You have great potential, work on it.

London is always precise but this time, in fact, a bit less passionate. The film LET IT BE is an exceptional documentary that portrays a couple of geniuses and a few good musicians who are somewhat bored, half-heartedly trying to keep a band together that, perhaps unintentionally, had shaken the world.

It would have been useful to argue. I wore this record out... but I was young. I wouldn't listen to it again, unless by mistake, but even admitting that we're not dealing with a masterpiece, it's not that bad. FEDERICOLAURENT, I hope you're not doing reviews to make a living...
