A review that is too learned; I, poor idiot, really understand very little. I had to read it six times to grasp that you write well and know your stuff... so I criticize the lack of immediacy but tip my hat to everything else. To understand the album, I will try to get my hands on it because, at the very least, you have piqued my curiosity. In the magical world of little hearts, I have read much worse, anyway.

And the lyrics? And the references to the more cultured new wave? And the image of death in "E sorride"? And the acid post-punk of "Sono proprio un infantile"?
If they pay you by the hour, you'll starve.

Didn't you have anything else to say? New or not, the album is enjoyable and showcases the "craft" of one of the most classy singer-songwriters we have left...

A nice atmospheric album, rich in "craftsmanship," but actually a bit light. I agree on almost everything... Fortunately, I didn't listen to 883 back then, but I remember that "calling elvis" blew me away.

They were selling it at the concert for 5 euros (horrible). If I had known, I could have bought it and sold it to them for 10.

For once, you're calm... but is it really you?
1 = crap, 2 = listenable, 3 = more than listenable, 4 = excellent, 5 = extraordinary. In light of this, considering my tastes, I assure you that a 3 for good Sepe (whom, just to change things up, I’ve seen live) is quite something.

FELO: Sepe's "speech" is deliberately difficult to follow, and for this reason it cannot be a manifesto of revolt, indeed. Perhaps it contains a half-message, intentionally aimed at a select few, revealed through the artist's way of life, but in this work, it is hidden among musical, lyrical, and instrumental virtuosities that, overall, in my humble opinion, are worth no more than 3. Opinions. For the "first" review, you could have taken a bit more time, and come on! Who's stealing your computer? We all would have waited without any problem. ;)

Create a bit of confusion. You can't talk about a "manifesto of revolt" and then emphasize that the artist (in your opinion) chooses to address a limited audience. Neapolitaness is a choice that is core, conscious, and deliberate, which among other things earned him the Tenco prize... much more than "the discussion is not serious." I appreciate the effort, however, to review learned music or at least music with a purpose, which is also in line (musically speaking) with your Zappian inclinations. The ending makes you smile, very "disobedient by force," but also quite naïve (no offense intended, of course).

LONDON by the way, I saw that you had already reviewed the album 5 years ago. Sorry. The two reviews, moreover, are quite in the same vein. Thank you for not highlighting that...
