Graham Nash Songs For Beginners

Oscia Lewis, 5 to Nash? I confess my complete ignorance on the matter; I've always thought it was the fool of 4 and so I've never delved into it. After this page of yours, it will be necessary.

So, Biancoenero, let me start by saying that I don't usually use emoticons because I believe people can understand when someone is joking. It seems paradoxical to me that you now come to tell me I'm starting to insult. You began by saying that, in your opinion, there was some flattery from those who give a 5 to Trell. Now, may I respond to someone who calls me a bootlicker, or not? The entire point of my first reply revolves around the paradox, doesn't it? Let's put an end to this, as it's becoming tedious. Just remember next time not to start by calling people bootlickers, and you'll see that no one will say anything to you. You can give your nice 3, or even, since it’s possible, a 1, then maybe provide some reasons, and you can leave. You’ll see that no unnecessary discussion will arise.

Look, I was still kidding, I know you're not capable of reviewing even Califano. That doesn't change the fact that I won't let a, as the late Biorky would say, babbo di minkia call me a sycophant.

Don't mess with Greg at Trell, he really gets pissed off! And then I get him angry too. There's something that's been bothering me for a while, and I take this opportunity to say it here. Aren't these cover albums a pain in the ass? Or, simply, they're pointless. How many better things has Dulli done than this album? I admit I remember it little, but that must mean something. The entire Afghan production is better, and at least eighty percent of the Twilight production. Even eighty percent of Gutter Twins. I honestly can’t remember the last time I heard a cover better than the original. Here, with all the respect I have for Dulli, there isn't one. Same goes for saying that the last, even praised, Adem, is absolutely boring. I plan to start a campaign for the abolition of covers, like denuclearized municipalities. No more covers, damn it. P.S.: I'm targeting Dulli because obviously shooting at Elisa or Musica Nuda is like "hitting a guy who's taking a dump," as we say around here.

Uh, Biancoenero, sorry, I had forgotten that you were one of those who understand everything about life. From now on, just 1 to Trell, so maybe even I’ll get married (which is actually what I’m aiming for). When can we expect one of your essential pages, since those who only make posts and don’t do any reviews, and act all critical, aren't really my cup of tea? And then they even dare to judge other posters. When are you going to review a nice Califano for me?

I also have to say my piece; I feel like I've been called out. It's not a matter of sucking up, dear Bianconero, at least not for me. I want to fuck the Trell. That said, since you seem a bit new here, try to understand a few things. What matters is not just what is written, but also what is proposed (the Trell often talks about poorly managed groups like this one, which I didn't know about and now appreciate) and the fact that it is reliable. That is, it doesn't spout nonsense. After that, it’s true that it's a bit annoying. But I still want to fuck her. And I'm so stupid that in her penultimate review, I only gave her a 4, can you believe it!

The coincidences, the coincidences... yesterday I started the review of Forever Now, but then I got lost. This, all things considered, is a bit sad for those who were.

Uh, Don, great mention, I was really wondering what happened to it. I guess I'll search for it, especially because Summertime Rolls has one of the most intriguing basslines I've ever heard. JA's claim of being the best band of the last twenty years is a bit provocative :-)

Well, on a certain "normalization" of the Sonics, Il Paolo has a point; they have returned a lot to the song format, and it's rare that they take flight. It's true that Il Paolo knows them a bit poorly, because they only played the sublime "Schizofrenia" from Sister. Too many tracks from Daydream played in a pedantic way (I also saw them last year in Ferrara where they performed Daydream in full, and the first forty minutes were somewhat of a repeat from last year). Gems, the opening "The Burning Spear" and the concluding "Shaking Hell." It seems to me that they have little to say, but they still say it like few others in the world do. And to reach that age of Kim in those conditions!

Allow me a couple of words from a clashologist - I saw them on that tour in England, and I've got the bootleg of the concert in Florence from the year before. Even in '81, they didn’t know where the hell to go anymore, stretched-out songs, effected guitars, the dub, Headon full of heroin. The following year with Chimes, they return to playing rock'n'roll, direct, fierce, but still like dead men walking. Strummer and Jones can't stand each other anymore, Paul is pretending nothing's happening. They are, perhaps, at that moment, still the best rock band on the planet (the Who hadn’t been for a while, and that year the Stones were doing pretty well), but they’re finished. Dead men walking. In this, an extraordinary and unmissable parable of what rock is, a band, success, and all the crap that goes along with it.
