Nitpicking about the support is ridiculous? Oh come on, give me a break. But show a little respect, not for me, I don't care. For those who spend two years in the studio working hard, and then you come along, listen to the album twice, and feel entitled to spout nonsense. What do you think, that making Sandinista or Wow is like buying a pair of socks from a Chinese shop? Or that putting a track first instead of second is like deciding to cut out coffee, cigarettes, or ending things with someone, something? Damn, the older I get, the more that crap annoys me. Anyway, if I don't hear Dark Star at the end of a double, I get annoyed. Damn, was it at the beginning?

The beginning of the review struck me as brilliant. Then the closing cited by the brother Hardrock made me a bit deflated. I had discussed it just this summer with brother blech, about Sandinista. First of all, it should not be listened to on two CDs, but on three LPs, which at the time of its release no one even knew what CDs were. And indeed, 36 songs, six per side, the perfect number (this was the starting point with blech: how many songs should be on an album? My opinion was six per side, lasting three minutes each). Sandinista shouldn't be listened to all at once, but one vinyl record at a time. And it takes at least six months of listening to understand it. Indeed, albums need to be listened to. So I won't comment on the new Verdena; I only finished the first CD this afternoon, and even in MP3, although I did hook up the speakers. Instead, here’s the usual rush to see who can spit out opinions the fastest. Alberto said that in the last two years, he hasn’t seen a movie because he spent that time preparing one. Well, instead of shooting nonsense, maybe the album should be listened to at least twenty times because it seems dense to me, even extremely so. Full of sounds, references, and, thank God, of frays. And, excuse me, saying that they’re the same old Verdena seems like another load of nonsense. It’s an album more about keyboards than guitars, and that in itself is a significant novelty. And to understand it, one would need to have listened to "Anima Latina," at least twenty times as well. Forget about Kiuss and Battiato...

Ha! Ha! In fact, I'm really curious to know if they will release the vinyl version as a double or triple. It seems to me the only relevant thing. Besides, Roberta has gotten a couple of wrinkles here and there, and that makes her even more adorable; she's starting to become a woman. Hi Ale, I'm on the comeback and having a lot of fun.

All this chatter for these three losers? Just send them to come up with a five-year plan, preferably in Albania. Vellu', you’re better off when you play Delorenzo.

Grudge? Geenoo, what's up with you? We're just messing around, and you talk about a grudge? I think the problem is with you; a little lightness and irony wouldn't hurt, right? Exactly, Ale and Blech got it, you didn't.

Yes, and not a little, considering I thought it was good, but instead it doesn’t understand a damn thing. Natalino's move last night on Zarate cried out for vengeance to the heavens. Not even a third-rate coach...

Baf.. as usual, there's controversy ignited by taking phrases out of context. I expressed no more than a couple of concepts, and they weren't directed at anyone in particular, anyway, they were also misunderstood. I said it's a mature album. That this isn't always a virtue. Perhaps I forgot to mention that it doesn't grow after repeated listens, and that's certainly not a virtue. The hook is good, but it's not like I feel a strong desire to put it back on. At the same time, I get irritated when people trash the Mv, and not just because I have a lot of shared experiences and some of the best memories, which I frankly don't feel like sharing. I'm certainly not looking for confrontation. I'll give an example: Teatro doesn't mean a damn thing to me, but I totally understand that some twenty-something adores them. We're only talking about Italian albums here, and that's the only thing they have in common. It's a mature album and Mimì is over forty: either you take it for what it is, or I don’t know what someone is looking for or expecting. Exactly, this trend of trashing the few decent Italian albums I just don't get. The funniest thing, anyway, are those who insert themselves between me and blech or me and ale: but we know each other and we care for each other, so we can roast each other in peace; that's not the problem.

Sure, I read little, but every time I come across some great reviews. From the one that talks about Fugazi (but seriously, when has there ever been anything Fugazi in the MV? From what I know of Mimì and Egle, they probably haven't even listened to them) to the one that says ā€œthe drummer doesn’t know where to goā€ (I don’t think that’s a fake, it must be the real Nevruz), when, just to change things up, Vittoria is outstanding. Yes, the only sensible thing I heard was from outside. It’s from a friend of mine who said it’s ā€œA mature record, mature like us.ā€ It seems like a cliché but actually says a lot. Because it means there’s everything, but it’s all a bit too in place. Inspired, but only at times. Perfect, but lacking a bit of roughness. Definitely too long, and somewhat lacking urgency. It’s interesting to note that the reviewer pointed out the only political phrase in the entire album. While perhaps the key phrases are in ā€œour hours are numberedā€ (ā€œBad habits, almost always fulfilled... still too early to organize our gaudy decline, but not early enough to not have an idea of itā€). An album for forty-somethings, I would have liked to read Primiballi’s review. Blech can’t tackle it because he had expectations too high and can only feel disappointed, betrayed by his own lover. I don’t know yet if it’s the best Italian album of the year, I still have to listen to the one by Bachi, sure better than that crap the pimple-faced kids on the site were raving about last year (I’m referring to the FBYC). It keeps me company, because I had no expectations, but all in all, I don’t think I’m mature enough not to want something better. Of course, the other day I saw Godano thanking Linus, a guy who understands music as much as I do marine biology, because he told him that their single is the best Italian song at the moment, and they even made a radio edit version. So, I hold on tight to the Mv, rather, even if they’re a bit tired and mature.

Just to agree with Cimmino, Mendieta was a great player in Valencia, captain of a splendid Valencia. Whether Cragnotti spent 45 billion to buy him is a question to direct to the Cirio investors.

Well, Bartolo, I must warn you that if you manage to come out with a hint of a smile from a) the triangle with Marrazzo and Natalie, where you are the hot dog b) a four-hour conference by Ruini on "aesthetics in Kierkegaard," and, while everyone has left, you remain alone asking him questions c) the screening of the entire filmography of Bergman in Ukrainian, with subtitles in the original language, you could even watch a concert of "Mica voglio che vi suicidiate" until the end.
