Gaznevada Dressed To Kill

Good evening! That same poor idiot, Azzo, greets all the attendees and thanks them for their kindness. So far, I've only managed to catch one, Odra, who confesses. I'm still waiting on Isi, who has been missing for a while (any news?). I owe some responses to @Super: no, I don't think they're ashamed even a little bit. And anyway, in my miserable rock career, if I had released two albums like Sick Soundtrack and this one, I wouldn't be ashamed either. But then again, Matthew 7:1-5, I stopped judging a while back. @Vortex, Trota is right, it's not telepathy, it's aging. @Cap, granted I underestimate everything and everyone, I don't understand what you're referring to. The younger users than those mentioned? I don't think so, it's just that I relish in the common background. The more recent Italian bands? Not either. I've always maintained that since Area, we had about ten bands that were on par with foreign ones. Gaznevada, among them. And finally, @Terry, the only lady on the page, hi Terry, hi.

Uh, uh, you're super controversial, aren't you? But with me, you're preaching to the choir because I've seen them between Superfuzz and the first one, and, as I already said, when I think of the word rock'n'roll, I think of that concert. And I think of Touch me I'm sick. And I think of the immortal line "When I think, I think of you." I believe the essence lies simply in the fact that Nirvana represented rock'n'roll for many, and that's certainly not a bad thing. Off the fact that Cobain thought it was a good idea to shoot himself before becoming Sting...

And here the Super hits me with the double whammy that amounts to a load of ninety. Oh yes, because the opening dedicated to that asshole Sting... even if you've made a mistake :-) (the album is from the late '80s, and the statement is from a few years prior) says it all. Although I can agree with that Pistola di Pietro, and it was Cobain and his buddies who saved rock'n'roll, that's how dire things were. And this is rock'n'roll, the real fucking deal, the kind that would have led me to conclude the review by saying it's alive and Sting is dead, I don't know for how many years. Not for 5 in its content, but in its form, let’s be postmodern. In its rebirth from the ashes, if it was ever dead. Along the desolate and sun-drenched roads, while we're barreling along at a hundred and sixty in our convertible, full of beer, intoxicated, while she got her last tattoo, which says: "Rock'n'roll will never die."

Argh!!! Not only was this album not in the Dedata, but there wasn't even one from 'hose! Is it possible that I, Don, Super, Lewis, or Alessio didn't notice? No, it's not possible...
William Gibson Neuromante

The foresight of this book is nothing short of disturbing, even today. Beyond the "technical" aspects, particularly political. The fact that the world is dominated by multinational corporations, which have partially replaced politicians—mere puppets of others' interests—is a reality. In 1984, it was somewhat less so. As often happens, reality is better captured by a genre writer than by mainstream novelists (at that time, you may remember, all minimalists busy telling us about bored rich students and a bit gay). This was not science fiction back then; it was realism. Thank you, Gibson.

Nice review, maybe the film deserved something more delirious :-). I agree with Bartle, I liked Requiem even more.

Supervai, I must say that I find you likable, but I can't help but notice that only in the first four lines there are four mistakes, both in grammar and spelling. It's not, if I may say so, about being picky, but we're talking about something that's hard to discuss, not to mention Wittgenstein. We haven't lost any love, and everything revolves around it. Unfortunately, like Vortex, I was there, and it's just as he says, not as you say.

Yes, if there were still cases in a few weeks, it would already be at the top. I fully agree with Stoopid, the Basketball Diaries are one of the most beautiful coming-of-age novels ever written. I only read it last year and it struck me so much that it was one of my Christmas gifts to friends. The movie with Di Caprio, on the other hand, is pretty terrible. I won't talk about the album, as you've already said everything.

What a lovely little page, dear Bartle. I put it back up after years, I'm going to read the review and look who wrote it! Quite a guess. My favorite is Bakesale, but this one is a close second (for once I don’t agree with Don, but I think that’s my problem. Just think, this summer I was in Cashel and didn’t even check if the Harmacy is still there :-(

@ Regular: I actually like the opening even more, that is "Cry on the ring road." It's curious how it references the Disco Drive. Agnelli is accused of being arrogant... I opened for the Disco Drive, who act all high and mighty as if they were... but back then they were nothing more than a sad imitation of the Rapture. And then they throw dirt on Agnelli, who at least is "political" in a way that few manage to be in this country, at least not in front of ten million viewers. Anyway, Cap, I still don't like the review even on the second reading and I knew that, poor thing, you were dissecting corpses while we were having fun.
